  • In this video you will see the planes that were delivered to the Soviet Union during the Second World War under the Lend-Lease program from the USA and the United Kingdom. They were shot down and found in our days in Russia. The video shows the best-preserved aircrafts.
The lend-lease policy, formally titled "An Act to Promote the Defense of the United States" was a program by which the United States supplied the Soviet Union with food, oil, and materiel between 1941 and August 1945. This included warships and warplanes, along with other weaponry. The policy was signed into law on March 11, 1941 and ended overnight without prior warning when the war against Japan ended.
In total, the U.S. deliveries through Lend-Lease amounted in Soviet Union to 11,400 aircraft.

    "The plane drowned".
🌊 Though technically accurate, it's a term you don't typically hear in aviation conversations 🛩️
📖👀 I would like to know more about the disposition of these wrecks

Ели кто то хочет сохранить чтото на многие века ,то скидывайте это в Черное море , там из за отсутствия кислорода на глубине все хорошо сохраняется , особено самолеты , подводные лодки...

NOT A BAD VIDEO , LOVELY MUSIC , MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT IF IT WAS THE RUSSIANS DOING THE RECOVERY WORK OF THE AIRCRAFT , ESPECIALY FROM THE WATER , THEY DIDN'T TAKE ANY CARE IN DOING IT ,I KNOW THE AIRCRAFT WOULD BE CORRODED ,BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE USED PROPER LIFTING CRADLES , THAT'S HOW THE ENGLISH DO IT , I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN ON MANY RECOVERY'S LIKE THIS OVER THE YEAR'S .

When it comes to the Russians, I don't think they really value the history as much as the west does. They always seem to wanna move forward and don't really care much for the past

@@LockheedC-130HerculesOfficial while that is true for most things most weird or rare aircraft l (like the M-50 bounder) would be lost to history if they were british or american (xf5y flying flapjack) but then again the M-50 bounder was in much better shape than these planes.
