Let me have a go! I'll do it! just kidding 🤣 I treated my own ingrown toenails for years in a very similar fashion to this being shown here, instinctively because it made sense. But eventually I had the sides permanently removed as I got fed up with the constant maintenance and cyclical pain when they needed doing. But also because I had that hyper granulated skin and it was really painful. Treated that at home too, but it took many months, a lot of foot baths and gradual digging to find the nail splinter and impacted skin. still need maintenance of the skin where there's no more nail, of course, but no pain, which is the whole point of permanent removal. Zero regrets for having the acid treatment. They don't yet offer on the NHS that nail band to improve nail shape and stop ingrowns developing, but they will in time when they see cost savings! 😁
@M Harris The big difference between this treatment and ingrown toenail surgery is that what he is doing here is not a permanent procedure, he's only trimming the nail but it will grow back again the same way. Not to say that this isn't a cool method, and is a probably a great way to do it if you don't have access to or don't want the surgery but just want to do maintenance by having this done every few months.

I love how you cut the nail on the first cut ! But you need to call that person back in so you can cut the rest of the other in grown toe nail out, the part you cut short. The remaining part will grow back as in ingrown toenail.. why would you do that ?
I had both toe nails taken off no problem, the only pain was when the numbing needle went through my toe out the other side. Hence me hitting the ceiling. 💉 😲
