I am an American and have no idea what they are lampooning, but this is funny as hell. This skit crosses all cultural boundaries. It expresses the existential crisis of the swamp in Washington, Dublin, London, etc.
It makes an ass of these oversight bodies, GSOC, The Inspectorate and the Policing Authority....all talking shops. Unfortunately, though dramatic, it shines a light on reality!
It is satire however it represents very well how poorly the different policing authorities work together. For the one police force in Ireland we have GSOC, the Inspectorate, Internal Affairs, Garda Síochana Ombudsman, and the Independent Policing Authority all in charge of ensuring anti corruption in the Gardai, which is just ridiculous
@@mqxogames We also have the Military Police, Airport Police and Customs & Revenue. People get hung up on AGS but they are actually not the only "police force". The AGS like to propagate that idea to their own benefit but it is not true.
This is in Ireland ya muppet. You must have dodged Geography classes in school. However British Policing is not much better, look at the state of The Met, a force in crisis. Now kindly do one. Hahaha
