This guy is so far beyond , like he was dropped from another planet or something. So comfortable fabricating awkward situations and pushing the boundaries like all the greats did.

One of the best comedian's RTE ever had. And was sacked by them for saying no one should pay for a TV licence. D4 RTE are wankers for sacking one of the best comedian's. Dave mc savage is brilliant

Funny you say that ,because Comedian Des Bishop said Pat Kenny is not as bad people made out to be. Pat Kenny is friends with a lot of those Irish Comedians, including the late Dermot Morgan R.I.P.

Pat helped M savage make a living as his audience warm up act for years and he also helped many upcoming Irish bands get their first TV performance so he deserved more respect but he didn't make a fuss about it.

Pat was great on the Late Late .. his ability to play the straight man brought out the best in comedians - Gay Byrne ironically didn't have that in his personal bag of tricks.

Just curious.. a friend was in a market in Dublin a few years back.. he found a cd of David .. he asked him how much..? The man said give us 50 cent .. he stopped and said hold on .. aren't you David Mcsavage..? He replied yes.. he told my friend RTE?cancelled him..

@manusdeburca As for the D4 thing, there's no doubt he's from a privileged background. (It's interesting to note how the sons of politicians end up being comedians in Ireland; McSavage, Ardal O'Hanlon and Brendan O'Caroll) As for his material, it's well-told and the cheers from the audience showed they liked him. To each his own.

@Tatzu I couldn't agree more. PJ Gallagher is another so-called comedian who barely raises a smile, he was on the radio the other day boasting about all the countries he's been to, the guy just isn't funny.
