FINALLY! was going insane trying to get this run. Uses my new ember button route which saves a few seconds but makes the run infuriating.
Shoutout to ‪@Boonoa‬ for showing me the ropes of this run (sorry i sniped :P) and slime rancher 2 speedrun, and everyone in the speedrunning discord!
Note: This run was done from a copy of a save made at 9:02 in-game, so would not be valid for submission to the speedrun.com leaderboards, even if they existed at the moment. However, time starts at 9:04 and no inputs were made before then, so the run is otherwise accurate to fresh save gameplay.
Also the music glitched, not sure why.

step 1. copy the route of the world record holder
step 2. add hard tricks until you come up with a new route that saves 2 seconds
step 3. pray the previous wr holder didn't bother optimising it enough yet
But seriously, there's a lot of interest in the small slime speedrunning community, and the goals aren't super defined - getting all of the slime types isn't a super hard one, but is a good early well-rounded category in my eyes.
I was just dumb enough to put in 15 hours before someone else put more than that

i was trying to learn slime jumps in slime rancher 1(you need them very often in speedruns) and i could almost do them with largo slimes but then i gave up. so how...just how are you doing this. Seriously, can you give me any tips?

your doing a mistake, its easier to do with normal slimes instead of largos.

In slime rancher 2, normal slime jumps are a bit different and largo jumps are extremely difficult.
In slime rancher 1, largos also behave a bit differently and there are different tricks with them than regular slimes. You can still do infinite hover with any of slimes, largos, or boxes as seen in the crazy wrs.
I'm actually not a strong sr1 speedrunner, so i'd recommend Rockcan's PHENOMENAL tutorials on the beginner route and associated tricks here: th-cam.com/video/EaBMIecYuTM/w-d-xo.html
