I just lost my entire shop in a sewage backup, the entire space had to be gutted. 10+ years of making records with wonderful musicians and building it up to where it is. I'm going to rebuild with the help of a vibrant music community here in London, ON, but this video is bittersweet. I wish I could have shared what it was, with you.
@@yochillsmith it was coming up so fast the pump couldn't even get the water level down. It was so gross, luckily I saved most of my gear but I didn't even know I could disconnect and move that much infrastructure that fast.
I’m excited and inspired to try this new studio thing with the old gear I have now and some new gear as well seeing your tours and your studio and now some of the others outside of Nashville I have been motivated to do this even more. Thanks for the inspiration and the Epic studios you have on your channel.
Haha mine was very uniteresting compared to others but thanks for watching it haha. Once I build my new studio in a year or two that'll be more "epic" lol
@@AndrewMastersHaha thanks man - also friggin' loved your vid on Tommee Profitt's space - so legit. He's a great dude. Gonna be in nash next week for his big Christmas show!
Wow....made it to the end over a few weeks of listening. Thanks so much for making this. I have learned so much... especially about EQ...I have learned to be bold. Also to use maybe more colour through outboard/plugins Again, thanks for this!!!
I’ve totally enjoyed your content since I found it a few years ago. I always watch all your videos and Jeep that “bell rang”. It’s cool to see your channel growing (as it should have over 1M subs, yah?). Great video tonight as well!
KARRA has not only the Neumann M149 (or maybe it's M49V), Telefunken ELAM251, but also a Sony C800G! That's crazy! I would've die to have the Tele and Sony in my home studio!
Hey Andrew, just a heads up the technical term for the opening shot in Justin Brogdon's studio tour is a dolly shot. A pan shot is camera movement to the left or right. Loved this entire video! Thanks!
Hey andrew I've been following you for a while now and your content has really inspired me. However I feel like there is a big void in youtube content space which I feel like you could fill: "real" home studios. I'm talking about bedroom studios and makeshift ones. It is amazing to see these very high end studios, however it is simply unrealistic for a lot of people watching your content. I'd love to see some ideas implemented that aren't worth a couple thousand bucks. Some smart and budget friendly solutions for people with big dreams. Keep up the good work 🙌🏼
Appreciate it! Take a look at the 100+ tours on my channel. I’d say over 25% of them fit that criteria. There will always be more to come but I’d argue there are a ton of tours showing those exact studios. But the problem is people don’t click and watch those videos, so they don’t get attention.
Would love to see you do more maybe less than epic home studios, the sort of thing most of us can relate to, and maybe even be able to advise people on things. Would love to see some using Studio One , as I really think that great software choice is really underrated and to be honest probably looked down on by people who haven't even used it
I’ve got a month of more “modest” home studios this month. As for the DAW - people use what they use, I don’t get to select the stuff people have before I get there and I never ask if they have a type of daw or interface or whatever.
Logic? Nah.... Cubase Pro. Switched from ProTools & Digital Performer8 years ago and never, ever looked back. I mainly do sound design and sound editing for film and broadcast. Some media composing as well. Nice vid Andrew. Cheers!
Yet another great video! Maybe one day I make myself a home studio too, but for now I enjoy these epic tours. 😉 Sadly, I'll miss that Telefunken shot because people from Europe never get to win anything from USA. 🤷🏼 (Wink-wink, cringe-cringe!) 🙋🏼♂️ Cheers!
Watching your tours is my guilty pleasure
It's really cool watching the guy who began the EPIC STUDIO TOURS, reviewing other people's renditions. I'm proud of my trailblazer

That’s hard to hear

Paul Davids’ videos are exceptional. He has some of the most beautiful video content in our game. Cheers that you added him.

Thanks for sharing the Josh Dun video! One of our favorite projects we’ve done.

Woahh seeing you react to Karra is an interesting combo for me having been a viewer of both of you for years now

Can hardly wait to finish building mine out.
Actually asymmetric rear corners are great for acoustics, helps with modal distribution and sound pressure.
Tell that to my room.
Karra and Reid house is a fukin' dream!
Love that video format ! 🔥
I have a 21 pilots tattoo. Mad inspiring group! Thanks for the video!
Sick! thanks for watching
One of our favorite studio designs!
KARRA be flexin'.....don't play son!!!

🎶 Killer intro track for Homewood 🎶
I love seeing the “epic” studios but I’m more interested in peoples home studios as that’s much more relatable for me.

the most powerful stufio flexing on youtube is the creative cribs film composers studio tours series. epic is not a big enough word for those places
OOh man! I'm gonna have to do one of these now! :D

Should I feel guilty for already having seen all these videos😅 or should I feel focused 😂

Iamkarra is so epic the pair together is next level
Not gonna lie, my studio is pretty damn epic.

Whattt??? You don't know @kara Andrew? She's dope, in her since.
