I used to use eudyna cream which was prescribed by my doctor 30 years back. The cream was discontinued and I started tretinoin 0.025. I am 57 and my skin looks fabulous. I use the diluted form of the cream. I mix it with water on my palm and use it sparingly. Any advice.

Hello Dr. Ankur. I am using this same tretinoin cream 0.025% since last 3 weeks. For the first two weeks i applied it in a pea size amount after moisturizer, and now since last week i am using it directly over my face but i have not faced any irritation or purging.. although my acne dried out rest i could not see any change nor any irritation , redness or purging. I have heard that retinoids don't work unless it purge your skin in the beginning. Does it mean that tretinoin is not working on my skin ?

Tretinoin or even retinol shouldn’t be used daily. Plz stop using it altogether until these symptoms suppress. In the meantime moisturise your skin well & don’t use any other active ingredient either. For beginners once a week is enough after a month or two you can increase the usage to twice a week. Even the most pros don’t use retinol/retinoid daily as it is very potent & the most strong skin care active

i am 18 yrs old..i am having lot of acne/ acne marks or tiny bumps on my face..i am already taking acutret-20mg tablet as suggested by my dermotologist..can i use this tretinoin cream for 1 month?
