Super helpful - especially the point regarding focusing more on the screening questions than the resume (totally opposite for my current organization!). Thank you for this!
Your channel provides very helpful content! As I embark on my career as an Immigrant into IT business analyst field of study, your sample videos have been incredibly helpful. I make it a point to watch one video every night as I am actively in application process, and I'm truly grateful that I stumbled upon your channel. Thank you for sharing such valuable tips & information.
Thank you for providing the information. I am a big fan of yours. I have started watching your all videos. It would be a pleasure of mine if you share 1-2 templates of resumes where I can learn more about Canadian Resumes?
I just copy my resume in the box and the formatting disappears anyway. Then I make some edits and remove any bullet points. Is that readable by the system? The green check is there so assuming it should be ok.
Yes definitely! Just indicate when they expired - but they are good to include because it indicates what level you can achieve if you do the testing again.
Thanks so much for the highly informative video. I recently landed in Canada as a Permanent Resident and have no prior experience working in the government. I do have 6 years of experience working in the financial space. 4 of which are of freelancing for clients in the US. I am really intrigued by the progran you've on your website abd would love to know if with my credentials I am elligible to apply for the federal government. As I am not someone who can give a lot of references. Kindly help !
Hello! I can't give you a definite answer without seeing your resume etc. but it sounds like you have some great experience that would certainly transfer over to the government sector. For references - I've heard of some people who work for themselves giving clients or other types of collaborators as a reference. It doesn't always have to be a manager, you would just have to explain the circumstance. I would encourage you to check out some finance related job postings to see if you have all the essential requirements. Good luck!

Some good points here in this video. Thank you.
Good tip on the context for how that "text" resume is used by the Federal Government, and the overall hiring process.

Extremely helpful! Can you please make a video on how to use competency dictionary in your resume?
Excellent idea! I'll add it to the list :)

When a position is open for Canadians residing abroad can I write on my resume the foreign address ? And do I write education and skills at the end?
Regarding language evaluation scores, should I include scores that are recently expired?
Yes definitely! Just indicate when they expired - but they are good to include because it indicates what level you can achieve if you do the testing again.
