- Glads, back with another racket review! Pretty big one this time. The racket endorsed by the legend of our sport Roger freaking Federer. Another iteration of the no less legendary racket, that offers unmatched levels of control and feel. This time with a debatable paint job but as perfected as it always is. Kuzey is back with us for this review by the way. Enjoy!

There's a mistake in the specs. The unstrung weight is 315
I think Rog used the 340g version too. The 340g version not available in v14. Last version of 340g was v13 I think
They say it’s 315 but it’s Wilson so it could really be anywhere between 290 and 330
this racket is not the same without roger. i miss him on tour

I was going to get this but found the Blade v7 Roland Garros edition for 50% off the sticker price, after trying both of them out i prefer the blade because it gives me just the right amount of spin and power.
It is important to remember that you will eventually develop your game around the racket you use so it is important to stick with similar rackets when you start off as a beginner; I used to use the heavier Babolat aeropro control at 320g and developed open stance and topspin forehand which i could carry forward to the blade.
TL:DR i am torn between blade and the prostaff but use the blade because of the better feel i get.

Thanks guys! Great fun review! I have a Pro Staff 97 v11 the one everyone said had a erratic string bed! 🙄 No wonder it was on sale! I wasn't into it but back in my day a "golden boy" had nothing to do with a Wilson stick!!!!! 😂😂😂

This racquet is NOT Roger's one.
He is endorsing the Pro Staff 97 RF which is 340 gramm and STILL BLACK.
It is like you would say Rublev is endorsing the Gravity MP or Tour (instead of Pro) ;)
Well he doesn’t really endorse any racquet now as he’s retired but he did endorse the pro staff line, and Andrey does endorse the gravity line, he just uses a customised gravity pro
@@bengray5013 well, he used to play with the RF, and that racquet is completly different from the lighter Pro Staff. (For example it's more spin friendly because of the more open 16x19 pattern)
I think they endorses the model, not the line.
@@viktorbenedek868 yes I know he used the RF97, but the RF97 was still a pro staff, and when I say line that means all pro staff models in the range, so yes he endorsed the pro staff line (full range) of racquets. Endorsed does not mean used...
@@bengray5013I think the OP is saying the title of the video is misrepresenting by saying “the last racket of Rodger Federer”. Basically implying RF used 97 V14 which he doesn’t. The RF97 V13 is the last racket of Rodger Federer.

I am currently using Wilson blade 98 v8 18x20, it fits to me since I like to play flatter and fast ball, it has decent feel and control and I absolute love it, that i usually play groundstroke, I tried the new Wilson pro staff 97, it feels great but it just feel like lost bit of sauce, I cannot give all my confidence and power to the shot like i am afraid of the ball flies out, but my friend said that the quality of shot is better than the shot I hit with Blade, I am really frustrated which one I should go for…

How do you compare the performce of this version vs the previous generation, since you did not score the previous one ? I have seen that the v13 has a faster reaction when repelling off the string bed allowing you to perform more quickly and aggressively. Does the V14's old school 90 " flex point , suit your game more than the head flex of the v13 ?

How would you compare to the Phantom 93p that you hit with? I added 8 grams to the handle to increase maneuverability and 2 grams at 3 and 9 to widen the sweetspot.

As one of the OG glads, very glad to see kuzey back, but the last video with Areg was a bit underwhelming and disappointing. Hopefully nothing big happened between you guys and no conspiracy here but just through the screen, it didn't feel like a good match against a good old friend. 😢

Wasn't all that difficult, just expensive.
Hard to describe that stick, in both ways awesome and difficult to handle. I started testing some strings at the same time, big mistake.

Roger has endorsed the Pro Staf RF97, not the Pro Staff 97.
They are the exact same frame though. And even Roger doesn't use the same spec as the RF97 you buy off the shelf.
@TheRob2D I'm not questioning if they're the same frame or not, just informing that the weight showed in the video is wrong. Roger Federer has used a pro stock specifically made for him, different from the retail one?? You got to be kidding!! ... mate, I'm the biggest pro stock racquets seller in Brazil, so I know a little bit about Pro's racquets.
@TheRob2D and I was just informing that the racquet Federer used to endorse was the Pro Staf RF97, not the Pro Staff 97, even knowing that they are the same frame, with different specifications.
