Something like a ''dark zone'' would be cool, each week or day a zone from the planet has pvp enabled, and stronger enemies, while it has better loot drops and shit, this would make people go to the planets for something.
I swear this man peeked hard to the people that asked for and said let me put this into a video that flat out gives Bungie a literal blueprint on how to make your content better.
Too bad they don’t care enough to listen. The senior community manager is too busy talking about his mushroom dinner on Twitter rather than... ya know... managing the community.
Same as me as I can remember my friend who was new to destiny saying that it's the best weapon in the game. It's now thought of as a meme gun in my friend group
Normally I’d agree, as a solo player I find it really hard to get high stat armor and materials. However I think it would be too constricting on the encounter design. Strikes work since the mechanics are never more complicated then ball throwing. Meanwhile I think that dungeons should remain more complex. Maybe if there was an opt - out game chat feature then it could work. But I hope they keep the encounters as mechanically challenging as they already are and maybe even more so.
Basically just "let's really give Esoterickk something to do each week" the video. I love it! I really hope that adept weapons become a new staple of the destiny 2 end game, with all the changes you outlined in weapons 2.0. Incredible work man, I love how all the videos and ideas have a consistent theme and build off of each other. I hope you are on bungie's radar and that they are taking notes!
Small correction, contest (altough not shown) is also active in the presage mission on normal. You can notice this from the sword icon next to the scorn instead of the scorn symbol
I also think dungeons could benefit from periodically adding new loot related to them, think old house of wolves/ new awoken gear for shattered throne , weapons closer to the hive theme like (but not really) those in crota's end and king's fall for pit of heresy, and old trials of the nine gear (along with maybe the stolen will from d1) for prophecy. I think this could serve as a way to boost up the loot pool for pve's different activities season to season, similarly to how there's new iron banner and new overall crucible loot with a new season.
I never realised before how much I want an adept version of Waking Vigil before, this man is singlehandedly making Destiny 2 a better and more rewarding game than it ever was

You are one of two youtubers that I actually get excited about when they release a new video. by one of two I mean two youtubers in my entire time watching youtube
Ok, so after revisiting all of the other videos and then rewatching this one, I've come to notice a small flaw. While I do believe that each video showcases theoretical solutions that are a vast improvement and are leaps and bounds above the current game's systems, I would like to point out that each improved system in the videos offers a little too much high tier loot. Lemme explain. A good portion of Destiny's replayability comes from grinding various activities, whether it be with friends or solo. Due to this aspect, showering the player with loot is absolutely important, especially considering that d2 is a looter shooter. However, by showering the player with that much high-tier, endgame loot, it sort of kills the incentive to play the game over and over again. If a player receives a godrolled weapon or a weapon that can reroll stats or perks, it would be easier for them to simply use expensive materials to just reroll the weapon to achieve their desired outcome. Although this aspect may apply more so to more experienced/endgame players and less to newer/inexperienced players, a vast majority of players will reach or have already reached a point where grinding out such expensive materials are no longer necessary. Additionally, the incentive to grind Destiny's loot doesn't just come primarily from the quality loot, it also comes from the thrill of gambling aspect that the loot system usually has to offer. By enabling the player to essentially choose whatever rolls they want, (albeit at a decent cost) the thrill of finding a good roll vanishes. I believe that, although it is important to receive more loot, it is also important not to kill off one of the primary incentives to play the game. Perhaps if guns each had multiple "god rolls" to chase after, showering the player with higher tier loot may work better. (Most guns have maybe 1-2 godrolls max that lock a player into a certain playstyle. Maybe if guns had multiple godrolls/godroll combinations that completely changed how a player would play with that gun, pouring loot onto the player may be more balanced.) Edit: Sorry for the long post lol.
The fact that you have grown SO fast and all of these types of videos are universally praised gives me hope that Bungie is watching and taking notes. Everything mentioned is this video plus all the others are absolutely perfect to make Destiny the game it deserves to be.

This is so good. All your videos have been spot on, but as a solo player I really love this one. I have just stumbled across your channel and you have some amazing ideas to shake up Destiny 2. I really like you production skills, your images look part of the game. If Bungy can/want to implement these ideas, the game and player base will grow. Top stuff!!
As always another amazing vid, there is one thing I think should be mentioned. Prophecy's loot structure was already amazing due to it allowing loot to be earned no matter how often you played it and easing farming efforts and so, should also be implemented
With the concept of Grand Master Dungeons, it would also be cool if there would be a new title players can acquire from these. Something like, "Light Caster", or "Dark Slayer".
This man never fails to amaze me. When I heard last week about a dungeon video, I thought it would be kinda boring since dungeons are awesome already, but now that I saw the video I want to see these features in the game
I really like and support all of your suggestions!! I believe those dungeons are awesome, at least the fact that they exist ( I am not a big fan of the Prophecy). Anyway, all this would give the motivation to complete those activities. And these solo suggestions are great for all the solo gamers ( you guys are incredible).
I love it when I find kickass new content makers. So nice to see great content with some soul rather than crap focused on monetization. Good on ya! Wanna roll a dungeon sometime?
You nailed it. Great analysis. Great suggestions. The switching up to keep it fresh idea is perfect. This is a game where you do the same stuff over and over. If you switch it up, you probably retains more poeple. Solo Master Dungeons - Esoterrick and SC_Slayerage's ears just perked up.
The music at 11:38 perfectly fits the horror of thinking about soloing the second encounter of Shattered Throne with contest mod, modifiers, and champions on
I still remember about half a year ago me and a mate LFG for a third for the pit boss, got a guy that had ran out 350ish times by the looks of what his emblem said. He said he use to run it solo just for the challenge 🤣 gave us alot of tips
Solid suggestions. I think some additional icing would be exclusive ornaments that could be unlocked only in dungeons, and maybe a way to get some dungeon-exclusive bounties.
Jesus christ. These words melt like butter in my brain. As a solo player, I love every single thing listed here. I have nothing to add or modify. Even the catalyst ideas, especially for malfeasance. I've said that a taken firefly explosion should be the catalyst forever ago. Seriously dude, bravo. I want to play these master solo dungeons so bad I can taste it! I still solo all three dungeons every week as is though lol
You’re putting out top tier content. This is constructive criticism on a whole other level. Honestly this kind of makes me think the other destiny tubers need to step their game up...literally the entire community should be subbed to this channel.
My guy is basically remaking the entire game, and I really love it!! I can't wait until someone from Bungie actually considers even some of these changes! I really hope so... Great video, Kujay!! I love the editing and the examples that you made, it shows how in-depth you really want to be. Amazing job!!
I would also just love for more dungeons. I could imagine a dungeon in the Cosmodrome going through Rasputines bunker/SIVA replicator against rogue and/or SIVA corrupted combate frames from Season of the Worthy. Maybe with an exotic weapon with a similar design to the Ikelos weapons and Sleeper.
You proposed a lot of great ideas in this video, and I mean no offense when I say this, but those catalyst are kinda boring. Here are my ideas for weapon catalyst: Wish-ender: Hitting 3 consecutive critical hits will make a 4th arrow deal 16x damage. Do you remember when wish ender was bugged and did something like 4x damage? I decided that for its catalyst, that should be cranked up to 11 Xenophage: hold down your reload button to activate a secondary fire mode which allows you to fire bullets which consume 3 bullets and do 3x damage. Xenophage gains a short charge time, DoT, and a significantly increased blast radius while in this mode. I figured that xeno was good for sustained damage, but kinda awful for burst damage, so I decided this catalyst idea could remedy that weakness Malfeasance: When you land 5 malfeasance shots on an enemy and cause them to detonate, you absorb some of their power, granting you a regenerating overshield, increase precision damage, and extra movement speed for a short period of 5 seconds. The overshield wouldn’t be that strong, only being 50 health, and once it was broken it couldn’t regenerate. The movement speed buff would be comparable to the speed increase for transversive steps, it wouldn’t buff things like jump height and slide distance. The precision damage increase would be comparable to that gained by divinity.
I want to know your thoughts on Destiny's own Forge mode. It can be lore friendly and such. I have 2 ideas for it. The first is a scouting mission for Shaxx, we go to what is a potential crucible map location. Fallen have made camp and so we clear them out. Afterwards Shaxx gives us authorization to be able to transmute things with our ghosts to build our own crucible maps. Just like Halo's forge, we get a first person perspective through our ghosts. Placing and generating objects like barricades and prefab walls and floors. Just like when we summon our sparrows. My other idea and more practical maybe, is that Osiris asks us to receive some vex technology for a project he and S-14 have been working on. We do a quick solo mission, bring it back and boom, S-14 and Osiris use what we got to make a simulation room to allow us to create new crucible maps. This option can allow for more creative freedom, freedom like recreating infection by simulating us turning into thrall when killed! Osiris would comment that such simulations will allow us greater insight of our enemies. We could even do a Fatman game type where a player is a near unkillable Cabal coming after us as we try to escape. Bungie won't admit it, but the players are what kept the Halo series relevant with forge. Destiny's success and popularity would skyrocket with the addition of a forge mode. Being able to make maps, large and small, making sparrow Mario kart races, Destiny Griffball, Destiny Duck Hunt, ect. Being able to balance subclasses and weapons ourselves, make things crazy like being able to equip exotics in all slots, disable guns and supers and wield infinite abilities. The possibilities are endless when it comes to community content, as long as we have the tools. Content droughts would almost never be a thing. New maps could be added to rotations that the community votes on. It honestly, truly needs to happen.
If bungie just took all of your ideas, I would cry of joy. Playing since D1 I agree that everything that you put on the table for the game would transform everything that the game is. Especially this one. Thanks for getting this upgrade out so everyone can see what destiny can really become.
one concept i had for raids/strikes/dungeons is if there were encounters that shifted week to week. I don't mean just the order, like in leviathan, i mean like how in interference each week it was different, but started and ended the same. in terms of raids, it would be basically something like garden being extended so it had like 6 encounters, and there were 2 more that changed weekly between the current first and second encounters. I think this would spice up some activities. still thinking on how to incorporate it into strikes besides warden of nothing, because that could just be after you kill the minotaur boss, a different tube opens up and go to a new area with new things to do, but still end up in the mine defusal area with maybe different shit in it.
I had to stop watching "Film Theory" because his theories for movies that weren't out yet were getting me really hyped up for "what could be"... I'm afraid if I keep watching your vids that I'm going to have the same experience. I'll keep wishing for improvements like you're suggesting, and then whatever bungie does end up making just won't live up in comparison. You do such a good job of thinking thru everything, you're not just saying "give me more" but making sure the rewards reflect the time/effort you put in. As a solo/casual team player, this sounds amazing. I've been saying that "Contest" mode should def be an option to re-enable, because DSC is almost a joke now (30 min clears with my friends, and we're always making mistakes). Anyways, great work man, hope someone at bungie pays attention and takes some of your advice. Cheers
Just subscribed. Watched all your videos. A good topic to cover would be having a separate super for each element just for Crucible. Also point out how neutralizing the zone made for a better control game.
I only solo flawlessed prophecy for the ghost shell, and come beyond light bungie changes the lighting and ruins the shell. It used to have purple and blue lights, and now its just white. Good luck on the solo!
Amazing video and ideas as always but when it comes to shaders the pit shader should have a glowing fire effect similar to zulmak himself and the prophecy shader should be a dark color lined with the neon pinks/blues from the dungeon itself
Another Idea to add on: Theorycrafting 12-man "Siege" activities if Bungie were to implement them (I'd say with buddies or even Live with Twitch chat for ideas since it's a very big thing to create/come up with. I have a few of my own already, BTW) Keep up the awesome work!
100% agree with this...I would also like to include exotic quests in this. I think with a lot of these modes, its important to give solo player the opportunity to get used to the mechanics so that when they match up with other players they don't feel like a hinderance. This also includes exotic quests. I ran the Presage for the first time, and one of the guys was toxic af as I didn't know the map very well, or the mechanics for the boss. "Should have watched YTvideos" should NEVER be a method for learning the mechanics of a game. We shouldn't have to rely on carries to learn how to play these specific modes. One way to fix this issue is to bake these things into the quest line that can be played, and more importantly, repeated whenever you want to learn the maps or just experience the content. I don't even care about solo loot unless its on master level, I just want to happily jump onto a matchmade fireteams and hold my own. A perfect example was the whisper mission when the difficulty was bugged. I ran it solo, learned the path and mechanics, and was comfortable running carries every week to help people through heroic. THAT is how everything should work. Having zero experience in running these types of content is reducing the likelihood of people playing it.
The only thing I would add would be matchmaking for Normal difficulty. Because if it can be solo'd then it can have matchmaking in that you dont need to have open comms for game mechanics. But as always great video and love your vision.
Next idea “planets 2.0?” Adventure mission revamp, bringing back planetary loot. Maybe a planetary weapon.
Id honestly take revamped vanilla d2 planetary loot at this point, with new perks n shit

I really enjoy your videos! especially this series, even though we don't have this in the game you fill my head with great ideas!
I've never done a dungeon in Destiny. This vid has me hyped to do one.
Subbed.
Dude, you deserve at least a sub for your work, great ideas.
Kujay video?!?
Kids, I’m going out for some milk!
I love it when I find kickass new content makers. So nice to see great content with some soul rather than crap focused on monetization. Good on ya! Wanna roll a dungeon sometime?
Yep
@@evandelck8541 let's do this!
Always look forward to your content
Keep up the great work man, you've got some awesome ideas!
Can we all get a vote to make Kujay a BUNGIE dev please. Such great ideas and hopefully BUNGIE is listening. Great vid and ideas man. 👍🏾👍🏾
The adept dungeon loot and challenge mode have already been confirmed
Have they?
@@noahhoan in the state of play, when they also confirmed adept raid loot.
Adept loot for raid and dungeons will come from master difficulty versions
@@barackobama6858 Thanks, I guess I missed it.
Great vid 👌 👍
From the ones I've watched so far ? Your ideas are a breath of fresh air to the game .
Hope bungie's watching and listening?
U keep me coming back to destiny keep up the work
Awesome, i actually just rewatched your other videos after getting my wisdom teeth out today and BAM, a new vid. Thanks for making my day
No exaggeration. Literally some of the best content and ideas for Destiny ever. Been here since D1 beta.
I love the nod to the madlad Eso.
Knocked its out of the park again man good shit!
You proposed a lot of great ideas in this video, and I mean no offense when I say this, but those catalyst are kinda boring. Here are my ideas for weapon catalyst:
Wish-ender: Hitting 3 consecutive critical hits will make a 4th arrow deal 16x damage.
Do you remember when wish ender was bugged and did something like 4x damage? I decided that for its catalyst, that should be cranked up to 11
Xenophage: hold down your reload button to activate a secondary fire mode which allows you to fire bullets which consume 3 bullets and do 3x damage. Xenophage gains a short charge time, DoT, and a significantly increased blast radius while in this mode.
I figured that xeno was good for sustained damage, but kinda awful for burst damage, so I decided this catalyst idea could remedy that weakness
Malfeasance: When you land 5 malfeasance shots on an enemy and cause them to detonate, you absorb some of their power, granting you a regenerating overshield, increase precision damage, and extra movement speed for a short period of 5 seconds.
The overshield wouldn’t be that strong, only being 50 health, and once it was broken it couldn’t regenerate. The movement speed buff would be comparable to the speed increase for transversive steps, it wouldn’t buff things like jump height and slide distance. The precision damage increase would be comparable to that gained by divinity.
every single video just gets better and better.
Every video i get sadder and sadder that this is not how the game is already
Great ideas. We have the same roll on waking vigil, was bummed with disruption break.
Cheers
All of your videos are top tier! Holy crap.
I agree with what you said but, I would also like the Normal mode (and just the normal mode) to include matchmaking.
best one yet man, never stop making content until you get hired 🙏
Just subscribed. Watched all your videos.
A good topic to cover would be having a separate super for each element just for Crucible. Also point out how neutralizing the zone made for a better control game.
Dropped a sub after watching all of your videos. Great stuff here. Wishing you the best with all of the upcoming content.
Dear God, this is your best suggestion video yet. There's literally nothing you haven't touched on perfectly.
As I’m right now trying to solo flawless prophecy hope you have some ideas to give extra rewards for solo
I only solo flawlessed prophecy for the ghost shell, and come beyond light bungie changes the lighting and ruins the shell. It used to have purple and blue lights, and now its just white. Good luck on the solo!
Good luck on that solo!
@@SenrabMJam I want it for that sexy emblem
@@sunshotwithanornament2475 if you want that emblem you have to solo flawless it
@@chunkyrabbit1032 yeah I know forgot to say that
Amazing video and ideas as always but when it comes to shaders the pit shader should have a glowing fire effect similar to zulmak himself and the prophecy shader should be a dark color lined with the neon pinks/blues from the dungeon itself
Another Idea to add on: Theorycrafting 12-man "Siege" activities if Bungie were to implement them (I'd say with buddies or even Live with Twitch chat for ideas since it's a very big thing to create/come up with. I have a few of my own already, BTW) Keep up the awesome work!
Keep up the work mate. Loving the videos
The malfeasance catalyst is in the database. So far it grants more range we don’t know if it will add a perk
Dude, this was the greatest video yet.
can we blow this video up so bungie can see it?! this is incredible.
