This is a great video. I’ll have to give it a rewatch to see what you do when there is a major 7th in the melody. I’m looking forward to trying this out next time I jump on the piano

Great point - it's definitely harder to execute when there are conflicting notes in the melody, but if you phrase it so that those notes don't stick out, you won't have a problem.

Saw a video a while back that made me realize you can change most minor chords to dominant as a reharm method (I'll say most should the raised 3rd create a b9 clash [I guess if the 11th is the melody note?]). This video reminded me of that and now put in my harmony toolbelt that I can reharm major chords too if I want to write a blues! Thanks Jeremy!
