proud Macbook air M1 user here (rose gold), been using it since March 15, 2021 and I must say the best purchase ever. Been using windows all my life and switching to Mac is one of the best decision. Its soooo user friendly and the operation is so smooth.

@@SophiaTheDreamer if you need it for school and average use ( Netflix, watching videos, scrolling online) the 8gb ram 256gb ssd m1 MacBook Air is probably the best option

tbh i recommend it! i finished my first year of college and i’ve been just using a mac for my classes, and the only thing i have issues w is the mac overheats a lot especially with zoom calls. i recommend downloading chrome as well as it can be super helpful with some websites that professors want you to use, i also recommend a bluetooth mouse bc the trackpad can sometimes get overwhelmed and it can be hard to scroll! this is just my own experience but i hope this helps! i’m using the early released 2020 macbook air!
@@odalis7583 the older 2020 one is said to actually have overheating issues :(, i was considering on getting it because it was cheaper now but went ahead for the m1 instead and it never really overheated even when using it 13 hours straight watching videos with so many tabs on.

hey, i just want to say that this is a great video! it’s very pleasing to the eyes, but i wanted to let you know that screen protectors are not advisable to use! it might damage the retina display. just clean it with a cloth when you get smudges and dusts and all will be fine. you can get scratches in your screen if you don’t take care of it and point your nails at it. but still, i hope you’re enjoying your new laptop :D

I’m soooo conflicted over whether to buy the hard case for my MacBook or not. Well, it’s already been quite a long while since I’ve got mine, and I really wished I got a case for it, but people keep saying that it may damage the hinge and other things overtime. :(
So, I just always have to be super careful while using it, but can’t do that forever...
Get a hard case, just don't get the cheap ones
I recommend you not to buy hard case because it increases the laptop temperature and also it can damage the hinges.Someone said to me that laptop sleeve is a good recommendation for this laptop.

I'm just commenting to give my two cents about the hard case that's everyone going back and forth on when they get their own laptops. ( I had to log into the apple store to see exactly when I received my computer because a lot happened, and I forgot when it was delivered. 😅)Anyways, I received my computer in September 2020, and I've used 2 hard cases like the ones riitoruu used. The first one I used was too tight of fit around the hinges and slowly cracked but only in hinges near the charging port. ( I'm talking about the case, not my computer. )The second one, my current one, is a perfect fit, doesn't have a tight hold on my computer, and protects it very well. As for the screen protector, I'll have to dig all the way back through my purchase history on amazon to find it, but once I find the cases and the screen protectors that I've used, I'll comment it under my message. I say that it's a hit or miss in some cases, and I know it's hard to find the best protection, especially for our most expensive devices. So I hope this message and the links I'll provide will help. I can't guarantee anything I can say because my device is protected from my own experience.

Certain hard cases ruin but not all so you have to be cautious of that when your ordering a case

hi!!! i hope you’ll see this comment asap but it is not good to put anything on the camera 😳 even the apple support does not agree with people putting anything on their camera and putting screen potectors as this may damage the retina screen. macbook air’s screen are really high maintenance, i hope you’ll remove it asap, im really worried
I bought mine near March and loving it :), just a problem, it doesnt come with usb ports or anything so research before you purchase it!
you can always buy a usb to usb-c adapter too. they go for pretty cheap on amazon :)

Here’s a tip: Don’t put tape on your camera, as it can damage the camera sensor. Lastly, don’t put a hard shell case on your laptop, as it can add weight to the screen part, which would weaken the hinge overtime

Sadly they won’t because they found it will be less useful in the long run, and ergonomics will be a little weird, I think touch screen is a good idea but their the pros so we have to listen.

I seem to be the only one who uses the technology neatly enough so as not to disfigure it with plastic covers (-_- ( No , seriously , I understand the meaning of the screen protector, but this terrible cover and a piece of scotch tape on the camera? You don't feel sorry for your technique after such an ugliness ? P.s.- If anything, I'm not trying to offend or anything. It looks... strange
