Honestly people say Spider-Man ps5 or spider man ps4 whatever how you u specifying but some people say that the swinging mechanics is better when it’s really not but Look at how here he did like a full loop around with his web swing on the new Spider-Man he’ll get all stiff and plus on Spider-Man 2 u were able to slingshot ur self with just the momentum once u swing with both arms in Spider-Man ps5 it’s no where near like the revolutionary swinging in Spider-Man ps2 I’ll go on and on but spider man 2 still has the best swinging of all time
I wish we could get this build of the game now. The graphics are so much more vibrant. It probably doesn't have an active day-night cycle, and probably runs worse, but I would still love to experience this.
But the game story is very short, just spent 8 hour to complete the story. If they remastered it, they should give us more boss fight, more story, more costume, and another playable character like black cat, harry Osborne..etc
The demo's lighting looks awesome. But I think it was scaled back to accomodate for the day/night cycle. I noticed it's not here for the demo. That said I think the final game still looks very iconic.
I like how a few elements of the first game are still there like the animation when you shoot out a web to swing and the web shot sound effects in this demo
I know right, there's also the health and spider reflexes where the Spider Symbol from first film is there until it was changed (Fact: the second costume wasn't finished while the film was in production development)

Huge part of Spider-Man gaming history this game revolutionised swinging, I think the first tobey Spider-Man film did so as well as it was the first time we saw what Spider-Man swinging looks like outside of a comic panel or animation
Just realized that they had a swinging reticle so that way you’d know where your next web was connecting I bet they would’ve defined it with something like, “your spider sense let’s you know where you’ll swing next” (Haven’t watched the whole thing lol)

I think this served as an inspiration for Spider-Man PS4 and the other games that had come before it, like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 tie-in game that was more open world compared to the first. But yeah I think this served as a blueprint for the PS4 game as well
Now... it only needs one thing to make its Web-Swinging towards PEAK perfection!!! And it's by getting rid of the restrictive nature of the game telling you when to let go and let players go bonkers with the freedom of physics. That would be beutiful, really.
@@xFlexz3Dwell some things were cut to due it being a multiplatform release for all consoles at the time and their limitations. not to mention some things like the web swing aim system was pretty complicated so they found a way to make a ai aim system that would scan the possible ways to web swinging off of with the player having the choice to swing from anywhere they wanted without thinking too long for it some cuts in my opinion were pretty confusing like the additional animations for airtricks, webbing up the bad guys where the webs would shoot out less stringy than in the final release etc. but most of the reasons were just simply due to limitations of the hardware of most consoles at the time

I LOVED taking a criminal to a roof, tossing them off, jumping behind them, web swinging low, and at the last minute, webbing the enemy and grabbing him before he hits the ground. I wish Insomniac's Spiderman allowed that. Spider Man 2 back in the day was better in some ways.

I see a lot of people up-talking the e3 demo but I feel like this version is way less impressive than the actual game. It looks fine but this version, unlike Ubisoft's e3 demos, looks like it was unfinished compared the product we actually got. The gameplay, the movement of objects, the amount of npcs and vehicles. Everything in the demo is trumped by the finished product. You don't see that often anymore. People are always trying to present something that looks awesome but then we're disappointed when the final product comes out because they dumbed it down. Really cool to see the progression, though.
while yes most things were improved there are some questionable things that went missing for the final build. for example some animations that had some cool transitions from one movement mechanic to another. or additional animations that looked more like movie spidey‘s moves but outside of that yes you‘re correct
Looks like nothing really changed except for the spider in the Health bar that’s a 2002 Spiderman logo I guess when they were working on the movie originally we’re going to use the 2002 suit but I do prefer the 2002 suit!

It comes from the DVDs made by ESA (E3) (Electronic Entertainment Expo) which was released at the time of E3 2003.

Why it’s not on PC? It was a strike to me when I descovered the PC version of Spider-man 2.
You can get the console version on your PC via dolphin emulator
treyarch was contracted to only do the console versions thats why.
