This is super helpful, I've been wanting to play him well as he's my preferred Egyptian faction (mostly have played kurunta and the sea peoples) and His father always declares war on me early on, when on easy difficulty, this should hopefully get more stable early next attemptt!
Super detailed... Thank you!!! subbed and liked. Will look for more stuff (Kurunta guide etc) on your channel as I am a huge TW fan. Keep it Up Lord Forwind!
I found Seti to be deft at court, primarily due to two positions his requests from zero work well with: While Merneptah is still alive, he can request the Servants action, which increases all plots by 2 levels. So, my first turn of a new year, I would request Connections from the vizier, and then shoot off several plots, then next turn, I would request Servants from Merneptah/whoever is Pharoah, then, until the nexts shemsu hor, increase relations and use regard to increase the plot chances. Before you have gold, using requests to get kushite mine profits or embezzle plots to get more gold. After you have access to Gold, you can Assist other courtiers and get access to even more favor, but even if he burns through it all, he still can access those requests at zero, which is prime. He can really snowball in the courts later on, whether or not he makes Pharoah in the first civil war.
Thank you very much for this guide. I have recently picked Pharaoh up and want to play as historically as possible. My main issue with this game, compare to Rome 2 and Atilla (and the reason I could never get into 3K) is... it just seems so overwhelming. I started my campaign on normal to learn the ropes and there is just so much stuff. I really appreciate the video but a 35min guide on 1 faction makes the game seem very daunting to me. Are there any very basic tips for a newbie, or a video guide you could direct me to pleasE?
@LordForwind she did declare a few wars in the south but they were far away, I had 2 armies with 12 units each, only got a chance to conquer that southern city that shares a province with with faction south of you. All pf a sudden merneptah and the gang declares war on me
Dude, I think You should give merchant legacy chance. We talked In comments under other video. In my campaign merchant gave me so much resources that I was playing most of the time on negative upkeep. I could field more armies that way, all Tier V elite, no army could fight me. Merchant is too good in my opinion should get nerfed, or maybe Its bugged, because some of items give resources and ancil in the same time (should be one of your choosing). Even without that "bug" you can still double your food in two turns if you need it and than send caravan again. Its so broken.
I find I want legitimacy more and then I usually have enough resources. I have tried merchant three times and it was a slower win. That said if you lack resources its good.
@@LordForwind If You don't lack resources You don't use merchant legacy in full because You can field always more armies or field more elite armies. That means faster campaign progress. It snowball really quickly. I never found any City I cant conquer with full stack of tier V units.

Seti is basically get large armies of cheap units early!

Plus the massive armies really help with snowballing in a game that limits troop numbers!
@@LordForwind of course. I was primarily responding to the points on court politicking
Nice guide, the royal decrees one was especially helpfull!
Glad you think so!
Thanks
No problem

not particularly, its a large game but many mechanics are shared between factions, 35 min isnt that much to learn a newish game.
I dont know if i did something wrong but 10 turns in everyone in Egypt declared war on me even before the civil war starts, what gives
Tauret maybe started some wars? Also did you build a full army and not conquer massive amounts of land?

Please, could you make a suppittuliuma (hope I spelled correctly) guide?
yep! The plan is to release more next Fri/Weekend!

@@LordForwind One faction this merchant may be bad for is Amenmesse because of location caravan would take much longer to get to northen areas.
