I have watched three times, I love this painting. It is the instruction of it that is so wonderful and such instruction on night scenes. I really enjoyed your demonstration

Fantastic demo for my learning for painting night scenes as well as values, using masking, the water, and "all those little touches". Love your touch on this lovely painting!

These videos are so helpful not just the visuals but hearing you explain everything. Thank you!

Nice work the building on the left really shows all of your color mixing efforts in the beginning of this piece, way to stay with this one.. nocturnal paintings can get tricky at times bravo

I like the colors you get... why do you prefer the quins vs the cadmium colors? where did you get that good metal palette with the paint wells? you tape down with regular masking tape, do you cut the painting out of the tape when done? really enjoyed this video, seeing your process thank you! the longer the better for us!

You do a marvelous job of explaining your colors, the mixing and all the rest! May I ask one question, when, using the straight edge, do you rest the bristles of the brush or the side of the brush against the straight edge or is it just a visual guide for you? Thank you so much.

Thanks for insights, instructions, and inspiration. This video helped boost confidence to attempt nocturnes. The straight edge trick affirmed my use of one too. I krazy glued water bottle caps onto a ruler to elevate the edge at prevent smearing. Thanks again for teaching. Aloha from Honolulu. Subscribed to your channel.

brilliant. very gloomy until you added the high key blue to the boxes on the dock, then magically it was if the lights were turned on
