HAPPIEST NEW YEAR, dear Inga! I have been buying yarn from the Woolly Thistle for the past 4 or 5 years because I love wooly yarns also! So happy they contacted you! I love your socks! Warm hugs from snowy (finally!) Virginia! ❤
I love Wooly Thistle! They have great rustic yarns that I have difficulty finding in the US. I just wish I lived closer to them. The drive would be about 10 or more hours, especially getting through NYC.
You can attach one end of a ribbon, crocheted cord or I-cord to each mitten and feed one mitten and the ribbon through first one sleeve and then the other of her coat so that if she takes off a mitten, it will hang off the coat and not be lost. Also, you might take a look at the Great American Afghan pattern.
1. I feel the same way about my Gro Hat. I was trying to think of how to make it a little longer to cover my ears. 2. I am finishing up my Poet Tee right now. I am loving the lace pattern. Your socks look great. 3. I love the Woolly Thistle! I am so excited that you're an affiliate. I found them to buy Rauma because you recommended it. I didn't know they had their own yarn, so I will definitely try that. 4. I have been eyeing Woolly Mammoth Fibers, so now I'm going to have to get some of that too.
Happy new year. I totally fell in love with thr Gro hat. I want to make one to match my field sweater, which is in making. I am so lucky. A new yarn store opened up in my small town and they have this lovely rustical yarn from local sheeps.. I think I will move in there.
Enjoy your little trip and the best of luck visiting all the yarn shops in Finland! What Mateus doesn’t know won’t hurt him!🤪😝🧶🧶hehehe! Hugs, ClaudiaSJI
Oh my!! I thought i was the problem with the gro hat. The hat looks prefect on fiber tales! I have made it 3 times… both times it has not fit me. Perfect for my kiddos though 🙃 going to use larger gauge next time
Regarding the GRO hat from Fiber Tales: Please, pass it along that Laerke from Fiber tales is the ORIGINAL designer of this plant/leaf knit stitch /motif as well as the hat, NOT Camilla Vad, NOT Suvi Knits!!!! Let's respect Laerke's work & creativity. Please, don't purchase the copies of this beautiful patterned hat. She has had too many of her designs taken by other "designers" without naming Laerje as the creator.
The color of that Versal sweater is incredible!! 🎉

Happy new year from Shetland, Inga. All your knits are beautiful. Will you be calling along Jana in Finland to look at her hand dyes? Much love ❤
