      Are you accepting new patients? I'd like to explore these issues you've identified. I'd never have thought, that what I considered legitimate criticism over poor workmanship, would be hidden anger issues. You've really opened my eyes, and I could sure use your expertise.

    The video did as it said on the box, a demonstration of how to get traders for trading. The thin wires can only handle 5,000 W, so they break when you add a second power source and crank up the juice. The heavy cables can handle 100,000 W. But overall a good demonstation. I was hoping for some help making the whole deal automatic, but I guess that is for another video. I was also going to make a comment about temper, but when you have it in your name already, I guess it's nothing new ;)

      At this time, the update is NOT complete, and cannot be automated... Sorry.

    Gases are traded in mol
    24:19 - trader has quantity of 945
    24:48 - your atmos showing 298 mol in storage
    25:12 - trader has quantity of 647
    so 945-647=298 and that is in storage

      Unfortunately, no. if you buy a single "unit" of of O2, you receive 0.9 mols, if you buy a single "unit" of water, you get 0.7 moles, and if you buy a single "unit" of mixed gases, you get 1.1 mole when all values are added. It's close, but not consistent to seemingly anything.

      My guess is, that the in game entity of "gas and water", have a defined normal, or default, which is than "coloured" by adding the attributes for the gases and/or water. meaning, your buying 1 unit of default "atmosphere", that the game then applies the attributes to, and since each gas and water has a different density, you get slight variations on purchase.

      That's for the first purchase and probably bug. When I bought 1 unit of water, I get 0.4 mol. 10 units of N2 and get 3.3 mols. But all the next purchases was ok. I bought 100 units and get 100 mols. I tried 3-4 times with different quantity and was always ok. But this is not true for mixed gases. First purchase is bugged, but next purchases are almost "ok". I bought 100 units and get 99 mols, another time 101 mols. So not ok, but almost :) I hope they will fix it.

      @@rohen951 Cool! I'll have to remember to make a small purchase at first. Good science!

    I think that slow progress bar is information itself. It seems that its speed depends on offset from correct angle. The slower it goes, the bigger is the offset.
    If I am correct, then it is pointless to wait for detailed information.

      Yes, but in this case, it's also probably distance. You could, when I originally made this video, contact traders using under powered antenna. In a more recent updated, they've sped up the interrogation process.

    Blah, just started playing this game again around a week ago, having a blast... Setup the trading system and got some error that spits out pages of red text nonsense when I tried to buy gas. Welp too bad he had some cheap volatiles too. Anyone else have this error? is it because have the liquid and gas outputs seperated? They are still connected to the 3x3 landing pad just on seperate sides. blah everything was smooth as silk till this lol.

    • @JoelleTheAbsurdist
      @JoelleTheAbsurdist  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah, that'll happen a lot... The one way you can get it to occur consistently, is to make changes to the landing pad after a trader has landed. Or using an older save... Or selling a trader something, sometimes... Or pushing the INFO button when in dialogue with a gas trader... And using a landing pad that not exactly 3x3 with the centre in the centre seems to increase the chances of an error... Annoyingly thought, leaving a trader on the pad, saving, existing, reloading, trading, saving, existing, then reloading again, seems to help reduce the errors. And I mean a hard close to desktop exit and reload. I love how Early Access Beta Testing has transitioned to Pre-Release Alpha Testing, really lets you know how the sausage is made!
