    Wow! Wow! Wow! Idea with a canvas underneath is awesome. I normally paint on melamine and ceramic but with different technique. Was thinking of trying pour technique but was apprehensive becasue of wastage that happens for colours. NOw this canvas idea will solve the problem.

    Excellent!!! The colours were so pretty and I.can see how the two perfectly complement each other. Loved watching this, Tracie. Thank you. I have just tried pouring metallics on a black squat bottle with foil instead of canvas underneath. I then dipped two small canvases onto the foil. I had to add a little more paint and re dip but they turned out great. The bottle was a little disappointing. Perhaps not enough paint or maybe I should have used gesso on it first. Will redo it and see what happens. Cheers, Marie ‘downunder’

    WOWZA, that bowl turned out amazing! It seems to me that those paints would peel right off that bowl! How does it stay on there? Did you have to sand the bowl at all to get the paint to adhere? Gee, I'd want to make a whole set of those, and yes, those paints looked amazing together. I have always loved copper/bronze/browns with aqua or teal. In fact, everything I want to paint is in those colors. Someone needs to lock up all my teal, aqua, and turquoise colors to keep me from using them. I used to make jewelry before arthritis got to my hands and it was the same way. I wanted to buy as much turquoise as I could because that's all I wanted to make. Turquoise and black look pretty good together too. Just found an idea onto myself. I think your work is great. I haven't seen a painting yet that I thought was a "hot mess" as paint pourers like to say. Keep up the great work Tracie!

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @TracieReed

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Judy. I really don't measure. I mix my pm using floetrol, liquitex pm and water in a jug. Then, I just add it with my paint until I get the right consistency. It depends on the type of paint I'm using how much I add. The thicker the paint I use more pm I use.

    What is the purpose of using silicone?

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Silicone helps create cells in the paint.

    Is it safe to eat off of and wash?

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can put food in it. But it's not dishwasher safe. Hand wash only.

    How do you make this dishwasher safe?

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DecoArt Makes a sealer that is dishwasher safe. I have used it on mugs before. It works pretty good. Its just kind of hard to apply. It leaves streaks.

    Will you be sealing the bowl with something? Will that paint come off if it isn't sealed? Beautiful work!

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I sealed it with a spray sealer. Several light coats.

    I love watching your videos, however I hate the input of music, because I am watching and all of a sudden I get a loud blast of music. I really like it when you are describing what you are doing. You do lovely work.

    Hi, I just subscribed to your Channel. Are you concerned that the paint will peel off the ceramic Bowl? It seems like it would.

    • @TracieReed
      @TracieReed  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I'm not concerned. I sealed it. It should only be hand washed.
