Here's a great hint when painting glass. I tried tape but it bled. So next time, I used Vaseline all around the bottom of the plate. I did not tape it off and the paint did not stick to the Vaseline. I just had to clean it off when it was fully dry. It comes out really clean this way.

Oh cool I just so happen to have a few of those clear glass plates from the dollar store & wasnt sure what to do with them exactly & this looks like a fun way to use them!!! Great idea ... & wow I cant even imagine how much talent your daughter is just absorbing from watching you & getting involved ... she is going to be extremely talented once she fine tunes her own ideas & skills. I miss doing crafts & having "mommy & me" time with my son when he was little . Now at 24 he just looks at me like im crazy when I say hey I need some mommy & me time . Hahahaha. Cherish every minute of it they grow up in the blink of an eye . But being a girl she will most likely want to continue her own art journey right along side you . Thanks for sharing ... I still have a couple of old ugly to me now vases that I would love to pour over but just havent gotten around to it yet... which I also learned from watching you so thank you for all the inspiration & sharing !!! 😉😉😉😉😉😉

There’s dishwasher safe “multi-surface” paint, too. I haven’t tried it in the dishwasher. It’s available at Michael’s in 2 ounce bottles, maybe more in some colors. People use it on wine glasses, so they don’t want to coat it with anything.

Very cool I was thinking about doing acrylic pours on Mason jars and turning them into "adult sippy cups" but I wasn't sure how the dishwasher safe Mod Podge really worked Even if someone didn't use it in the dishwasher
I know there is paint you can use (just painting) where you bake it in the oven to make it dishwasher safe but I'm not sure if it would work when you mix it with floetrol
Has anyone else tried to do that?
