      Thanks for the feedback! I can certainly do more advanced lessons as I move forward with this channel. I have students of all levels and I hope to accommodate everyone as I continue to make video lessons. I should probably do polls in the future to see what levels my viewers are at.

    Hi there. Thank you for the grammar explanation. I was wondering about reducing adverb clause with "when" connector.
    Do we only reduce "when" in a passive sentence? Or both? Thank you.

    • @BreakingEnglish
      @BreakingEnglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yiu can reduce clauses with "when" in other circumstances, too.
      Example
      When I was driving, my phone rang = When driving, my phone rang.

    Hello teacher ! Can you explain the -ing form in your sentences ? they are gerunds or present participles . Thanks for the content

    • @BreakingEnglish
      @BreakingEnglish  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are definitely gerunds. An easy way to remember that is that gerunds come after prepositions so if you see a verb in the ing form after a preposition, it's a gerund. It will only be a vern if it has a subject and helping verb "be" before the verb in ing form. Gerunds are activities, so they are like verbs, but just not. Ahh so confusing. I know 🙃

    Working so hard on her essay, » it is reduced adverb clause
    Is it adverb phrase too working as adjective and is it also called present participle phrase and some people tell me it is a present participle clause
    Which really confused me are they right?
    Pleaseee reply

    • @BreakingEnglish
      @BreakingEnglish  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, present participle phrase and it can be present participle clause, too. If it's a clause, it needs a subject and verb.
