Glad you all are liking the transformation🙏🏻 Yes, the check engine light (and other warning lights) went out after the oil change/cleaning😃 Also, we didn’t replace the spark plugs, coils, or valve cover gaskets since those were recently replaced by the previous owner according to the carfax! Happy NEW YEARS🎉
I love how you guys take cars that many would junk or pass over and show that they still have potential. I am in a similar boat as you guys actually. My project is a 2004 Pontiac GTO with 208,000 miles. The car has some mods on it including a stage 3 cam, headers, exhaust, built transmission, a new driveshaft, upgraded brakes and Corvette C6 wheels with fresh tires. All for only 3,000 dollars. This video gives me the inspiration to continue the build and completely restore the car!
Avoid the hassles. You’re not gonna gain anything significant by going catless. Go with the high flow cats, long tubes and x pipe to the rear section. BB makes quality stuff.
Next year will hopefully be a better bright year for all of u 2019 was the best for me 6 months ago I didn't know what to do,today I'm back rolling in the usa🙏🙏
There are very few dirty jobs that give more satisfaction when done than cleaning your engine bay. My old 911 doesn't require as much effort, but I remember cleaning an old 331 hemi in a '54 Chrysler that rivaled your Corvette project's starting point. Well done!
This is by far my most favorite clean/cheap resto I have seen on the TH-camz. People can talk about the Mclarens or the Lamborghinis...but this is a project **within REACH**. Great Job, JR G.
Definitely like the idea of long tube headers and exhaust, I would say high flow/low resistance catalytic convertors would be a better option so no one has emission issues in the future. Yes, it may cost a couple HP but worth the lack of headache down the road.
Great transformation guys. I personally looked at this car myself at the Phoenix Copart yard. It looks a million miles better, well at least a 1/3 of a million miles better. I think the exhaust should stay as it is, the only thing this Vette needs is the return to stock, or ZO6 rims. PLEASE do not change the exhaust, I beg of you! Hello from Maricopa Arizona.
I bought a 2004 c5 corvette just yesterday clean title 90k miles for 6500 really good deal just has a few small issues most likely from the car being abandoned
I love the results you get when cleaning engine bays. Can you do a tutorial with products and tools you use? I love detailing a car, and I have not tackled engine bays yet. I wouldn’t want to mess up the electrical systems.
This corvette is pretty inspiring because I love working on cars and this covers a lot of what I would do to a car that I’d be renovating or restoring. I love each detail but I think you guys should put new side skirts and new front and back bumpers along with a spoiler, for the next thing also new fenders, just a bit wider than stock would look amazing
I was watching this at Copart when it went up for auction but it was right about the time i was paying my house off so I had to let it go. I think it sounds great the way it is. I was waiting for this cleanup video I have some of that to do on the avalanche I got at copart.
Love to see a body kit on this vette, haven't seen no one do it,but that's just my opinion, but great job guys and wish y'all and everyone else happy new year!
Looks great! I like Stoner Trim Shine or Carpro PERL to dress engine bay plastics/rubber. You could also restore the wheels. A good wheel cleaner, clay, polish and a coating.
It turned out absolutely amazing guys! Everything you guys do is just so well done, I can't even explain! I love the content, I love everything you do, this is by far the youtube channel I watch the most! The hoodie is beautiful, it would fit me quite good by the way 😉 Love all the way from Portugal guys ❤
Great video as always, guys. Fantastic job on that engine bay...I'd be happy to have you clean the engine compartment of my '92 Porsche 911. It's no way near as dirty as your Corvette was. Keep up the nice work on your cars and on your great channel. Happy New Year to you both.
I am so exited for 2020. Especially how the Mercedes turns out and if it will ever start and drive without any warning light 😅 Greetings from Germany you guys are awesome✌️

Y'all should widebody the vette and go for that C5.r look
The valve cover gaskets were replaced recently? Did they go mudding after or?
JR Garage
Don’t but before and after in video start 🙂🙂.
Please.
HNY!!🎉
I jus subscribed and watching all your vids I love the transformation of the s600 that is my dream car
Honestly I’m not a fan of the wheels on the vette 👀 think the car would look better with something else
Right
True, I bet some nice polished C4 sawblade rims would look so much nicer.
agreed. it would be alot nicer with wider spokes.
Agreed
I agree
Could've swore I saw this in a ChrisFix video a few years back
It was a 96 c4 he had ☺️
@@steveminch7741 Yep, and he stil has it.
Yep, he is the creator of the “hand Movement”.
He still has it
Glad to see this Vette get a second chance at life
Love the videos
Definitely change the wheels. It deserves a better look!
It would be interesting to know the history of this car. I mean who bought it new and who drove it so many miles and why.
I love this series and corvettes in general. I can’t wait for more. Keep it up!!! 🏎 JRGARAGE for life!
lance pants 🙌🙌
@@JRGarage what happaned with the corvette tho ?

Bro my favorite part of every car series u guys did is the cleaning the engine i love it and the vette looking at it best 🔥🔥
The engine clean was oddly therapeutic. It looks absolutely amazing!
Clean Vette! Wait for new exaust sound 🔥🔥

This Vette is a true testament to GM's dedication to building a quality, American, sports car. Makes me proud.
Obviously it had a good driver.
Better cars have been wrecked
That Mercedes sounds sick! Love watching this old Vette get a second chance.
Looks great guys!
If I didn’t see you do it looks like you just put a new engine in 😂 great job men 👍

Great job guys! This is an absolutely amazing and truly unbelievable transformation. Happy New Year!

I really like the zr1 black rims. Maybe drop it as well!
The most satisfying engine bay detailing ever. ❤️🔥
Yo happy new year from Ireland and shout out to all my fellow people's taking a poop right now.
Definitely like the idea of long tube headers and exhaust, I would say high flow/low resistance catalytic convertors would be a better option so no one has emission issues in the future. Yes, it may cost a couple HP but worth the lack of headache down the road.
degreaser spray + pressure washer + 10 minutes, looks perfect.
Derek Kolb that what I’m saying some purple power and washer that would of been done
And a steamer
I never thought of using Scrubbing Bubbles on my old engine bay. Have to give it a try. Love the results.
needed to see this for my sanity
I'm from philippines, I am amazed of you guys restoring the corvette and the other cars you have.
been seeing your videos since the beginning lemme have the sweaterr!!!
Wake up on New Years Day and start the decade off with JR Garage! Nothing like cleaning things up to start the decade on the correct mood.
If you put straight pipes in this and than make a giveway, I"ll talk with God personaly to win it😂😂😂
I am seriously impressed at how dirty it was and how clean it is now. Good job!
I can’t believe those wheels are still on the corvette ..
Ikr. Those wheels kill it for me.
The time and energy put into cleaning the Corvette has definitely paid off. Guys, it looks awesome!
Glad to see another Corvette video! I’ve been waiting for this one! #NotificationSquad
Also, Happy New Year everybody!!!

Still 2019
This is amazing. The way that car looked when you bought it compared to now, all with mostly just hard work. Incredible.
I've pressure washed my engine on all my cars without covering anything my entire life and never had a problem.
Same here, just don’t purposefully force water into the electronics and you aren’t going to have an issue.
Love the respect you guys have for cars. I'm the same way. I can take an older unknown car and turn it into something nice that turns heads.
I love this series! Like if u also like it!!!
I bought a 2004 c5 corvette just yesterday clean title 90k miles for 6500 really good deal just has a few small issues most likely from the car being abandoned
What happened to the Vette?
I love all of the budget car videos. They give me inspiration
No matter how much those HRE wheels are worth, they're hideous.
Lol yes
Anthony 1 thank you 🙏🏽 😂
So satisfying seeing that engine cleaned at last, great job guys.
What happened to this vette? No more videos?
I love the results you get when cleaning engine bays. Can you do a tutorial with products and tools you use? I love detailing a car, and I have not tackled engine bays yet. I wouldn’t want to mess up the electrical systems.
That’s what’s keeping me from doing my 2000 trans am I just have a feeling I’d screw something up.
And to think all his money came from a lemonade stand
Damn u guy just killed it,its looking sick. Can't for the mod.happpy new year 💥❤🇲🇺
It doesnt take 9 months to straight pipe make another video
Great engine transformation.
Yes, I agree new wheels are required. Satin grey 20 inch wheels.
Average length of vids: 15 mins. Average amount of time of my life saved by skimming and cutting out the fluff each time: 10 mins.

WOW That engine bay cleaned up really really well.
Nice work on the engine bay boys! That little slit on the arm rest can be easily fixed as well. Looking great
that squeaky clean engine bay does look amazing
Loving the transformation of the corvette and can’t wait for mods
Looks great! I like Stoner Trim Shine or Carpro PERL to dress engine bay plastics/rubber. You could also restore the wheels. A good wheel cleaner, clay, polish and a coating.
Definitely throw a cam in it. One of the best bang for your buck upgrades for chevys
Those replica ZR1 wheels you showed would look sick!
I have to try the scrubbing bubbles on my projects next time, good stuff

I'm not a fan of aftermarket wheels but those HREs look so period correct on that Vette. I honestly would keep them instead of newer looking wheels.
Holy crap! That looks killer! Great job guys!
Love the engine bay cleaning vids!!! Keep them coming! Happy New Year!!!
Nice job on the cleanup guys. That corvette is looking nice!
Looking good guys! Looking forward to the straight pipes.
