In regards to creating new font designs with the appearance panel, is there a way to warp the gradient color to consistent (meaning all the dark part of the gradient stay at the top portion of the font and doesn’t get cropped out of the font)

Got a ton of work to do and got a very big opportunity to organize the first Urban Art Festival in my City this year. so yeah, I have to say that the time to watch YT Videos wasn't very much the last months but as a freelancer you know, never complain about to much work 😎 👊

I think this will help you with that, doesn't require the appearance panel though.
