Playing for Uruguay being the only attacking threat in a barely competitive match against Mexico is way different than being paid millions per month, playing for a top 5 team in Europe, starting matches against big European clubs with players around you that are all better or at the same level as you. Its like the effect smart kids in high school have that get to college and are surrounded by equally smart students so they cant stand out as much.

Marcelo Bielsa was the Leeds manager and as soon as he left, Bamford became rubbish.
