However, he is also an Apena (secretary) of the revered Ogboni Confraternity. In this interview with Abisola Alawode, he explains some of the rites and traditions of the Ogboni, especially how the confraternity suffers from stereotypes thanks to Nollywood. He further reveals what happens when a member dies as well as why joining the Ogboni is a thing of joy.

@@Black_spiritual Ogboni is a demonic society where members are forced to take an oath of secrecy. Any member who sits on poverty chair will have all his or her children and generation sink in poverty. They use human blood for IFA, mostly family members. Ogboni members are initiated into witchcraft at the same time and this brings evil to their family. They give their members years to live on this earth and if they want to live longer, they have to provide human blood for sacrifice to extend their lives. They kill their members based on the number of years giving to them to stay during initiation by their demon called IYA. Please don't be deceived, 99% of their members are not happy and cannot say it because of the oath that was administered on them. Their family suffers a lot of the consequences because their blood is used as prey for their funking demon IYA.

Also, the Ogbonis can fund a documentary, or even feature films that would re-write these horrible, out-of-context views of the order.

The same word or sound can have different meaning in a particular language. Different languages sharing a particular word or sound does not necessarily mean the particular word means the same in those languages. For example ewu means danger in yoruba language and goat in igbo language. I will be careful in extending the meaning of Ogbo in Ijaw language to Ogboni in yoruba language. Ogboni is associated with wisdom, esoteric knowledge of yoruba custom and culture

The main problem hampering the true submissive practice of purity before EL'edumare viaour Isesee, that is, the impediment and obstacle, is this abominable english language.. the priest here is talking about self purification and sanctification, same as described in the scriptural text in "exodus" she'imo'eto "shemot" , "leviticus" wayi'kira "vwayikra" and "deuteronomy" deba'ri'mi "debariym" and acts of apostles {when Sha'Ul "Paul" was INSTRUCTED by the seniors to join some other returning faithful to The way, completing sanctification and vows}.. the presenter blurted out " worship his head" as being equal to " bo ori e " .. you can't "worship" your own head as in that process the priest was talking about.. I repeat, the correct terminology should be sanctification and or purification.. iree oo !
