Thank you friend!!! I hope you have a great day too!!! I think NPK 4-4-4 would work well when transplanting, but I do like to give them extra phosphorous when close to flowering....that would be a higher middle number, because phosphorous promotes flowering!!! I especially like to add a fertilizer higher in phosphorous when the bush beans are closer to flowering if my soil test shows that my soil phosphorous levels are low. Thank you so much for your comment!!! 😃🌸🌱
Great method, thanks! Those bean plants are way too close together. That's going to be a challenge harvesting. What I would do is do a trench like that om both sides of the plants and distribute the same amount over both trenches. That will force the roots to expand out for growth evenly.
Actually I spaced them exactly like the seed packet said to do!! And I found the distance was perfect... they supported one another well and I did not have to use any string around them to support them even after they became quite large!!! 😀
Honestly I put my seeds in water (room temperature) for 20-30 minutes about a week ago and I’ve had about 50% of them germinate already, without the water they took 2 weeks or a little more for me. I forgot to check today, so maybe more. Try that and leave them in a warm area with plenty of sun.
I have a video about how to start bush beans from seed!!! It is also on my channel and describes the process I used to start them!!! Feel free to watch!!! Let me know if you have any more questions after watching!!! 😀
Hello again 🙋.. I asked a question on your video on pole beans but Im growing bush beans so actually my question was for this one...Can I use my 10-10-10 firtilizer the same way you use what you have or would it be to strong and kill my bush beans? I appreciate your thoughts on this. Thanks so much and have a great day! ✌💜...( I just subscribed 👍🤗)
My bush beans have been flowering for a week and a half and my pole beans just started this week. Can I fertilize them with a balanced fertilizer now that they've started flowering? Or should I hold off?
Beans(legumes), make their own nitrogen, stored on their roots. At adult blooming stage, no additional fertilizer is needed, with bean plant. Hope that helps!
Thank you for your comment!! And great that you have bush beans and pole beans flowering!!! Yes, you can add a fertilizer higher in phosphorous like the organic Garden-tone herb and vegetable food I show in the video... phosphorous is the nutrient that gives you more flowers, and flowers lead to more beans... this is especially true if your soil is low in phosphorous like mine was!!! But I found the Garden-tone to be especially helpful when my beans were close to the flowering stage....the pole beans might benefit more... they tend to flower much longer than the bush beans, but extra phosphorous definitely will not hurt and will promote flowering/bean production....😀
@@shadyfieldhomestead1974 Usually, the plants don’t have adequate ventilation when this happens. Or, the area is too wet. Not sure about using the spray. I would either thin them for ventilation and back off the water. Hope that helps...
@@shadyman6346 after researching a little further I’m thinking it’s insect disease, maybe spider mites. I looked up pictures and that’s what I see. I did use neem oil, maybe that’ll work
That is only true if your soil has enough nitrogen to produce beans. My initial soil was very depleted in nitrogen (I did a soil test and made my own soil mix... I have a video about that as well). If your beans grow well without adding any nitrogen that’s great!! But in my case the nitrogen/phosphorous in these fertilizers was extremely helpful and was just what was needed to get my beans to flower and grow. I had tons of beans all season long. I did not have leaves without plenty of beans!!! That’s why I think soil tests are very important!!! 😀
Thank you for your comment!! Yes, if you find using a tape measure stressful definitely do not use it... I was just trying to demonstrate that putting granular fertilizers very close to the roots of plants is generally not a good idea...🌱
I did not only use store bought fertilizer. Before I applied the fertilizer I tested the soil carefully (you can watch my video about that if interested), and since my soil test showed both very low nitrogen and very low phosphorous, I made my own soil mix (I made a video about that as well). The beans were planted in my own soil mix, but because my initial soil was so depleted in nutrients (was basically just rocks and clay), I also added store bought fertilizers high in the nutrients I needed for the beans to grow well.. If your beans grow well without adding extra nitrogen or phosphorous that’s great; but mine did not... they needed more nutrients in addition to the compost in order to flower well and produce a lot of beans; and with these fertilizers I had tons of beans all season long even though my soil was initially nothing but rocks and clay that did not drain well at all!!! If other fertilizers work better for you feel free to use them, but these worked incredibly well for me, and that’s why I shared this video!!!
Dear friend Have a great day. Nice to fertilizer bush beans having NPK ratio 4-4-4 🌸💖👌

Wonderful video! Great job pretty lady.
Lovely beans!! Thank you for showing us how to fertilize plants that grow in the ground
You are so kind!! I really appreciate your comment!! You are so welcome!! 😊💚🌱

Good instructional video! I liked the music, too. Nice touch. 👍🏼
Thank you ever so much!! It was really fun doing this video as I love beans so much!!💚🌱

For bush beans, those are really close together.

My bean seeds are very hard to start? How do I get the seed to get a little root

I put 1 top of 3%hydrogen peroxide in a little bit of water and soak them over night and I got 100% germination with it and all my other seeds

Just use half strength and your 10-10-10 will be 5-5-5.
The best way to fertilize your bush beans is dump some grass clipping and dead tree leave to mulch your bush beans. Zero cost. :)

@@shadyman6346 now I think they have rust on the leaves. Can you spray copper fungicide while green beans are growing their pods?

Nitrogen will give you big green bushy beautiful plants with very few beans.....all the energy goes to producing leaves instead of beans

But that doesn't make the beans feasible
