Hi, I stumbled across your video as I'm currently writing a research project for my graduate diploma in law on UK wildlife conservation legislation. This was a really clear presentation and was such a helpful starting point to my research. Thank you for posting it! I focused a large part of my undergraduate degree on environmental/climate change policies, so it's great to see other people from different academic backgrounds also be passionate about the environment

See when it comes to amateur rockhouding, rock and minerals collecting as hobby and it comes to areas which are or even are not in SSSI what's the actual law or whats legal or not on collecting minerals. Cam we actually do it or not ? Obviously not using any tools just collecting any find we stumble up on. Would it be illegal to keep the minerals we find in sssi areas or not ? Because there are literally no Permits or anything for us amateur rockhouding to apply for, unless I'm wrong about it. Any information on that would be helpful if you could help. 😢🥰 pls

Several years ago I read The Wood for the Trees: The Long View of Nature from a Small Wood by Richard Fortey. It is one of my favorite books on nature despite the fact that I live in the US vs. the UK. I recommend it if and when you have time. I can't imagine you haven't heard of Fortey anyway but this book about this small forest preserve is surprising given who he is. A remarkable scientist.
Although I have heard of most of the organisations you mention, I had not realised that there were so many! It would seem logical to merge a few of them together, sharing aims & objectives and presenting a stronger voice. Good presentation Emma, where are you going to deliver it or is it just for us TH-camrs?
