cool what daw do you like using mostly?
When the Jesus mural in the chapel winks at you.
hurdy-gurdy, had a good laugh on that!
Aargh, can't find it!
♡
100% would risk it all for the mural.
*gigglefits*
I never thought I would hear myself say "I've listened to four different medieval covers of Take on me, and yours is so far my favorite".
I mean it though. ❤
Love to hear that! I'm really glad you're happy with my cover :)
dang, same tho
Yep. I think it's a matter of drums for a big part - you can't just take the original drumming pattern and change the tone to medievalish. The same goes with wind instruments - they HAVE to be arranged anew, otherwise it's trash.
Very well done my good sir.
Yep, this one just has heart and artistry that the others are lacking.
The animated illuminations were a stroke of genius.
Cracking, going to compile these for a DnD Tavern playlist
Same brother
Same :D
Yo, same. It’s ridiculous how long it is.
Thanks so much!
Same
I like how the music video was sort of recreated
Legend tells of a young maiden who was reading an illuminated scripture when one of the illuminations, depicing a young man, came to life and took her by the hand, dragging her into an epic adventure.
Best Bardcore Take on Me yet.
I guess that's what we get for being in on the front end of the wave; We have to suffer through all the horrible contributions until we find a good one like this.
Please keep up the quality work.
Thanks so much! I'm really happy that patient music lovers find my music.
I'll do my very best!
@@josephcphaze Yeah, there are some really bad ones out there, but I enjoyed this one.
@@bspeers76 Good to see a voluntaryist outside of a political comments section!
The tale of the maiden drawn into the tapestry by a handsome knave during mealtime
Conversing abound,
I knowest not what I shalt say
But regardless I speak
For this day I shalt find thou once more
Alas, thou shiest?
Hark, I shall approach nonetheless
Taketh upon me
I implore
I shalt remain for two days more
I need not mark
I hold much concern
But I shalt depart
Understanding I shall be at peace
Wouldst thou repeat mine words?
“We art no stronger when secure nor regretful”
Taketh upon me
I implore
I shalt remain for two days more
Oh! The words thou spake!
Are they what I require to push my troublesome fears afar?
Thou art all I need to keep in my heart
Thou shiest once more?
I shall seek thy affection regardless.
Taketh upon me
I implore
I shalt remain today and nevermore
Taketh upon me
I implore
I shalt remain today and nevermore
A couple of months late, but this is spot on! It's just, WOW! love the lyrics :)
we need Morten Harket to sing to this
A genuine thanks to you two. This was my first time doing something like this.
@oldedude51 Not a bad idea by any stretch. I’ll actually look into that and see how it goes.
Screw thou art mine acquaintance thou Harpeth upon mine fairest of brow
We talketh away
I've nary aught to say
I say it come what may
Tis' another day to find thee
Shyest away,
I'll be coming for thee lass, hurray.
Takest me (Takest on me)
Taketh thee (Takest on me)
I'll abscond
In a day 'r two
Tis' needless to say
I'm aught and hence
Yet I e'er hobble away
Humbly I doth to our Lord pray
Sayest thee with me
Tis' no better one hath myrth than sorrow
Takest me (Takest on me)
Taketh thee (Takest on me)
I'll abscond
In a day 'r two
Aught thou dost sayest, yea
Be it life or aught to cast unease hence
Thou art aught I harken back on
Thou shyest away
I'll be coming for thee come what may
Takest me (Takest on me)
Taketh thee (Takest on me)
I'll abscond
In a day 'r two
Talketh is the equivalent of talks, so saying "we talkrth away" is as bad as saying "we talks away". Worse even, because not even colloquially does anyone say, "we talketh".
@@ifyouloveChristyouwillobeyhim I know, but accuracy is less important than vibes
Peasants go insane with this song!
this is my absolute favorite bardcore version of this song. the mood is so uplifting
Yup, this is the best version. Shocked to see so few views!
Yeah, obviously youtube's algorithm doesn't think it needs to be spreaded, so here we are haha But I'm very glad you like it!
aye, moving tapestries?! what foul, mad sorcery has bewitched you?!
I gotta say, this is definitely one of the best versions of this song I've heard so far!
Ah yes. The 1080's were a good time for music indeed.
Si vous êtes là grâce à Anthox 👋
Sympa cette version !
Je suis dessus depuis le dernier live de la facilité ;) Merci Anthox :p
This is really well done - should have more views.
The video is a nice addition! Thanks for contributing this very nice cover to the tavernwave trend :D
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! :)
Best one yet of all the bardcore covers of this song, in my humble opinion. KUDOS! Shout out too to the great effort in producing the video/animation!👏👏👏
When you found love in a medieval book
This is oddly soothing. 😌😌😌
I really enjoyed that one! Definitely another great addition to the tavernwave trend :)
this was amazing!!!
Great job! Fantastic! ♥️👌
This is victorious music
It’s beautiful
I adore this so much
Wonderful!
If any song needed a medieval vocal it’s this
So amazing! Chose this to be the music for my attunement montage with the Dawnbringer.
Here before it blows up
This is themesong that plays whenever my cute lil gobbo sorcerer is having a moment.
Excellent !
Lyrics :
We're talking away
I don't know what
I'm to say I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, okay?
Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two
So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
I'll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry
Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day or two
Oh the things that you say
Is it live or
Just to play my worries away
You're all the things I've got to remember
You're shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway
Take on me, (take on me)
Take me on, (take on me)
I'll be gone
In a day
I'll be gone (take on me)
In a day (take me on, take on me)
(Take on me, take on me)
(Take me on, take on me)
(Take on me)
I need this to be the theme of some medieval sitcom sorta like F.R..I.E.N.D.S or the office
great!
Petition to make this the anthem of the human race.
Of course it will only play when someone makes it to the finish line.
very hopeful. like the happy ending after a long adventure.
Here Sir, collect my like!
thx
ngl this fit so well with Mine Diamonds
You know a song is fantasic when it already sounded good one millennial ago
Sweet home Alabama next pls. 😂😂😂😂
Sweet Home Arabia 😂
Thou sayeth upon mine name unto thou heavens “Yea!! Alas fort thou art a lowly peasant amongst mine fairest of folk!
subbed!
you know what, im gonna subscribed you
I guess I have no choice then lol
At the ready, Squire One.
How many HP's have your mount, my lord? Because the last race where you take part, was electrifying!
Four letter word just to get me along.
It's a difficulty and I'm biting on my tongue.
Wait...
Taketh' on mine
好聽喔喔喔!
2:05 to 2:10 sounds like the Flight of the Bumblebee!
Nattering about...
Yet I can'nay put my heart to sound
So,, the words come out.
This is the day upon which I seek thee.
You blush and turn away
I shalt pine for thee anyway.
Taketh me
(Taketh me)
Within thine heart
(Within thine heart)
For my ship shall depart
In two days hence.
can you do weezer's island in the sun by any chance?
take on thee
😃AHA 🕺🏼
Deadpool meets Thor (this is the end credits with animations of poorly drawn DP and Thor all over the place) 🤣
Have you done the Safety Dance yet?
Morten...Harketh to this!
Out of curiosity, what were the instruments used?
court drums, tambourine, some lutes, recorders, viola de gamba, hurdy-gurdy, an organ positive and some old style bagpipes
Lalalalalalalalalala 👌🏻😋✌🏻
Taketh on me
Needs Bagpips and MORE COW BELL!
Isn't that "Mine diamonds"?
Aaaaaa why is everyone doing this genre all of a sudden?
Baycause a plague hath befallen upon us! 😆
Prussian War Theme against Ottoman Mehter.
Great cover, sounds great at 0.75 speed too!
I love how it sounds, but I don't think the murals reflect it well.
It is totally europian opular 🤣🤣🤣
all the time on the animation, and you missed squelching, it's really a shame, this could have been awesome. It's like an icepick going through the eardrum. Had to downvote
All the time on that comment and you missed offering justified criticism. It‘s really a shame, this could have been constructive feedback. It‘s like an bullet going through the head. Had to downvote.
@@patrickq.2508 I did offer justified criticism. Squelch in a SONG is very important. It's the difference of something sounding like a song and an assault on the ears. It's why nails on a chalk board is offensive and why a melodic songbird is pleasing. It's really a shame, if you knew anything about audio production you would know your comment is about as constructive as Bob the builder on a meth rampage.
@@erikstein5854 The problem is that I know what you're talking about, but I just disagree with you.
Squelch is indeed important in analoge audio production, but I can only guess, he uses digital samplers and no microphones. Plus the "missing squelch" you're talking about is just the sound of the trompette string on a hurdy-gurdy (You can check that out here: th-cam.com/video/HWo3kPp8IJo/w-d-xo.html) and no distortion, white noise or whatever. It's supposed to sound like that! I'm sorry that you didn't know that even though you're such a big expert when it comes to audio production. However I guess even the biggest experts can learn something new from time to time.
Oh and btw Bob the builder on a meth rampage sounds fun. So there is nothing wrong about that!
Best one yet of all the bardcore covers of this song, in my humble opinion. KUDOS! Shout out too to the great effort in producing the video/animation!👏👏👏
