this is a lithium battery charge protection circuit using ic 555, it can protect lithium battery from over charging as well as over discharging
I did a mistake in the voltage divider of trigger pin. it should be 22k & 47k instead of 10&47

Dear Sir, Pl add to this circuit full charge indicator
At last your mistake.when npn base is positive mean 3pin of ic out +, then npn tr shift Emiiter negative supply to its collector, that will make pnp tr Base pin negative.at this no volts pass bd136 from emitterbto collector.to correct this you should connect 2.2k or 3k resistor from 5v to base of pnp tr. Then when 555 pin3 high no volt pass pnp, when this pin 3 low then base of pnp tr will high and volts will pass from e to c of bd136 and battery will charge.
Please make same for 9 Volt Battery

So I use a 12v, 2A adapter and also tried 1A adapter also.... But adapters was heating a lot with in 5min of charging....

your circuit have some error because you directly connected Battery Charging voltage to threshold pin its more than inverting pin voltage and Comparator will be off always when you turn ON the CKT ,charging never starts .....
