@@NoClue007 i really recommend it, i dont have it but a friend of mine was looking for a good smartphone and we looked at various xiaomi devices, and for the buck the Rn8 pro is just a killer deal, and at least my friend didnt face any of the problems related to the mediatek processor, in fact is really snappy, the cameras are amazing and the battery is very long lasting, performance in everyday task is on par with my Mi 9T pro, just a slight inferior in terms of ram management and in graphic intensive games, but overall is an amazing phone at an amazing price.

Had mine since the lockdown. Very happy with it. For the price there can't be any complaints, good screen, great battery, quick charger. If you want a better camera, spend more money, although the 64mp camera is decent.
I agree I bought my RN8PRO at the beginning of December. And the phone works great and has great battery stamina. I bought it with a gift card & cash $170 bucks Well worth the cost..Great Buy.

Hey I don't know if you ended up getting an answer for your question, but as I understand, the global version of the phone should work on AT&T and TMobile networks. My phone is coming in the mail tomorrow so i can let you know what work needs to be done in order to get it working. I haven't found a whole lot of info about this phone being used on American telecom networks.

Ive just bought one after watching mobiles of various makers till my head spins. So many pros & then kicked in the gut by the cons. Whittled it down to Xiaomi Redmi 8 & 9 series. Ordered the 9S then cancelled it after reports of bad Wifi issues. Now its Note 8, either 8T or the Pro. Both equalish & plumed for the Pro. They dont have churn out phones Xiaomi. I hope my one will last 5 or more years...
Spent sometime reviewing phones in this price bracket and value for money. Was going to go for the Redmi Note 8 but for just over the extra $50 get the Pro version mainly for greater performance and camera, 4g. Ram min. If you don’t game much then the Note 8 should be fine.
i almost bought it but i managed to save a bit more money and went for the Mi 9T pro, just to be safe, i know mediatek is a good procesor but Snapdragon has more support, for everything, from the Gcam to Custom roms.

I have Redmi Note 6 pro, for a few months ,it overheats alot.I think they use old processors in their mobiles.It seems overheating is their phones problem.When u contact the company to sort it out for you they ignore you although I have 2 years guarantee.I
WiFi speed is terrible, only improving slightly when Bluetooth is turned off... So forget streaming music to a Bluetooth speaker. unless you like buffering. Gaming WiFi speed is questionable too.

This phone may be the top1 midranger in 2019, it's good hardware, good features but it's camera is just mediocre which it's downside. Mi 9 Lite, similarly priced like this one, gives you way better camera quality output. The latter is also worth mentioning and considering.
With the last updates the 64 megapixel camera got a lot worse! It used to take pictures at 64 megapixels and when you double it twice the zooming of the photo taken it was crystal clear! Now it is blurry and you can see the pixels. Also when you took a picture down in the left it said the xiaomi brand and also 64 megapixel quad camera now it is saying only AI quad camera no 64mp! Is eat a software issue and does anyone else confirm that?

@@deeport I have checked multiple videos about the GM1 sensor, I notice colors dont pop, looks flat, people who prefer accurate color representation may like them, also terrible lowlight compared to IMX 586, Also, there have been issues of heating in mediatek chipsets, in comparison to snapdragon 712, its not efficient in handling heat. But I dont think it will reach blistering high levels but its a cause for concern. Helio P90 is a very fast chip but warms faster than snapdragon 712.
