If the horse doesn't want to go, he won't.... actually the horses who do these and I have one, love it! Mine is now 30 years old, has been retired for quite a few years and looks fantastic.

2:37 that bay horse yanks the left hind shoe right off. I wonder if they finished?
I can't decide if you folks are nuts or awesome. 🤣 Ok, the horses are awesome you folks are nuts? Yeah, that's it. Fantastic job by all. ♥️

Three Tevis buckles for my boy who is now 28 years old and still in awesome shape.... I love him dearly.
Awesome!!
@@hollyobrien2816 He will turn 30 this year 🙂
I can't believe how many of these riders don't wear helmets.
There are always a few dumb risk takers.
Can you imagine the damage to their heads if they fell off on the rocks
It's their choice I worry about the poor horses.

Sorry, but I see many that should not be riding their horse.
If they don't manage their horse properly, they never finish.... less than half the starters finish.
Why most of them siting on the horse (not use more stirrups) they look like a balles not riders. I don't understand...
I dismount, and lead the horse walking behind me. I am scared.
because its the correct way to ride.
It is the correct way to ride. You can judge after you finish this ride LOL
This is scary to watch!
i wouldnt risk my horse, her welfare comes first
Thank goodness, someone who puts their horse first. Thank you for looking after what is in the best interests of your horse.
@@gerrycoleman7290 absolutley!
You don't have to go over Cougar Rock, you can go around it which is what I did each time.
Appies and arabs rule.
Arabs by far.
All about the person. Not about what is in the best interests of the horse.
