Building wealth from nothing involves consistent saving, disciplined spending, and strategic investments. Begin by creating a budget to track expenses and identify areas for savings. Prioritize paying off high-interest debt and establishing an emergency fund. As you build a foundation, start investing in low-cost options like index funds, and focus on continuous learning and improving your skills for better income opportunities.

Given the current uncertain circumstances, it's crucial to grasp effective financial management, prudent investing, and adeptly maneuvering through economic downturns. However, my main focus revolves around boosting my stagnant reserve of $240k, which has remained idle for far too long with minimal to no growth. While I'm committed to the long-term approach, the erosion of my savings due to inflation and the daily depreciation of my portfolio demand immediate attention and a solution.

I know the guy and his wife in the thumbnail.
He started out as a welder in Texas. Then started a very small welding/fabrication business, doing most the work himself.
He literally came from zero, and now owns a company that does many Millions per month in oil rig equipment manufacturing/weld work.
It’s very personal to him, when he emphasized that education wasn’t first, but never quitting was… Because he himself didn’t go to college, though he does employ a lot of college educated folks.
EDIT: I’ve been instructed to correct an inaccuracy 😂.
Doug enrolled at Tyler College in 1974 and dropped out almost immediately. Then, enrolled at the University of Texas, in the fall of 1976, where he stopped attending in 1977.
He spent a handful of years welding, THEN, got a sales job that he worked for about 5-years… As a metal and welding craftsmen, he was tasked with selling the types of equipment and services he would go on to offer at the company he would start, just days after leaving that very sales job.
    --
That said, his company now employs a ton of people, and offer employment at every level of skill and persuasion. Due to that, there are varying levels of employee reviews, from “treats us like family” to “worst place to work ever”.
    Employees gonna employee, I guess.
I know Mr. Hamblin in passing, because we both attended a few of the same real estate “masterminds”, if you will. That said, I don’t co-sign for his character or his company.
I do know, that his company started as a one man show, with no resources but a trade and a truck and has grown from that 38 years ago… To do the kind of income that keeps him and his wife on a private jet, in a huge house, always in the finest clothes, and steadily employing an army of families… From scratch.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. It was the easiest time ever to make money as a RE agent. But getting your license doesn't even require a degree. It's not hard. And RE agents are easily the most overpaid people for doing the most minimal work. (And no I don't consider handing over listings and showing me open homes takes a ton of work). Before an agent comes in complaining. Running basic comps and market analysis isn't brain surgery.

I really love what the doctor said and I just want to emphasize: everyone can’t quit their job to be self employed. In some professions it’s just not realistic. Also, there are people who work for others and are making good money and live happy, stable, fulfilled lives. I think a lot of people in our generation now just want to quit their job/ quit school with no plan because of what we see on social media. The biggest takeaway for me is to find what you love, know your worth, work hard(smarter actually) to accomplish it and define what success is for you. It looks different for everyone.

As an 18yr old one year out of high school I say the biggest thing is speaking up for yourself bc there are no hand outs as an adult. Uncertainty is scary but when you find your niche, commitment is natural. And as dude said ‘never giving up is more important that education’

Work for yourself, never give up, don't look for the quick buck, cause a good day's work pays off in the long run, and last but not least, have a passion for what you do, cause that's more important than any college degree or whatever. Thanks man, God bless.

rich people don’t have time for questions, they need to make money! unless they already made it and everyone else
is working for them! My husband works for silicone valley and he started with apple and he works very hard and is an honest man. He is also very creative and tells the truth when companies ask him what they need to work on. He offers insight as well. I love all the advice that there is no fast money! that is so true!

I’m 40 🎉 I wrap up a 7th month long UT Austin Post Grad Data Science certification program this Friday 🎉 ! While also wrapping up an intense 20 week freight broker training for my new full time job the exact same day. All I can say is - Take that leap!!! Put in the work, know that you can achieve and go for it. Don’t get stuck in analysis paralysis. DECIDE quickly and find the money to pay for school. Ask for a payment plan. Make temporary sacrifices because we all deserve the good life. You want to do something, Get off the fence and DO IT. Enroll. Sign-up. Focus and write down your vision. It’s yours but you gotta go it!!! Imagine where you could be in a year that will fly by whether you choose to reach for your dream or stay stuck. I believe in you! 😊❤

Great video and concept! I love the idea of asking strangers how they became successful. On the other hand, asking them directly how much they make can throw ppl off. Ppl may not feel as comfortable saying it in tv. However, you could ask "how much can a person make in that industry etc?" That way it's not so personal! Just saying...🙏🏽

My experience, having lived in some wealthy areas and having spent a fair amount of time in upscale shopping, entertainment and residential areas, is that about 90+% of the people are NOT "rich" and are wanna-be rich or pretend to move in those circles as they spend most of their income on an impressive leased vehicle and cloths they can't afford. A study several years ago found that more than 80% of men who wore Armani suits in the U.S. made less than $30k annually. I am writing a book right now on money management and wealth creation. I have found that some of the most unassuming people are the richest. Many of the people on Rodeo Dr. or in Scottsdale or Birmingham, Michigan or Buckhead or Miami are sneaker-rich, but cash-poor. I've known many very wealthy people and most would never tell you what they earn annually. (some don't even know) Good video though.
