- Hello Guys! Today's video is a quick dash cam clip of a truck that was hung out to dry in the left lane after being way too impatient to wait behind the one passing truck in the middle lane.
This is Ontario, where trucks are mandated to have speed limiters set at 105km/h. "Ontario Drag Races" as I like to call them, happen frequently here, and the best course of action is to just wait it out in the right 2 lanes, not jump out in the left lane (no truck lane) and plug up all 3 lanes...
There was a backlog of cars and trucks building up behind these guys, until someone got a little balls-y...

I had to brake check one once when he sped up to not let me on coming off a ramp. Who the hell does that? I got out in front of him a locked my brakes for a quick second. You heard his horn fade into the distance and his truck almost jack from braking so hard but I hope he learned to be a nicer human.
Yea but driving on the shoulder like that is pure dangerous. Look at 0:40, there is some debris he would of ran into. Honestly it looked like he had enough room to pass on the right, the far-right trucker was slowing down. I'm not a trucker, but I've been on long drives before, stuff like this blockage happens, but for a 10+ hour drive having 10 minutes of this blockage is no big deal.

He should have at least waited for a straight section of road, there can be debris and even stopped vehicles on the shoulder and he wouldn't have sen them around the bend.

He knew what he was doing too, he didn't brake check him to make him slam his brakes on he did it to force him behind everyone lol. I bet that guy is the type of truck driver that has rest breaks in the pumps.
One thing I hate more is 60-65mph govern speed trucks... you can't get by them because they hold up the middle and right land.... The damn left lane is for passing but its sooo frustasting when trucks that are faster can't use it at time to get around slow trucks govern at 65.... Get your butts over to the right lane... if your able to pass get in the middle lane then get over when passed. Other cars and trucks want to get thru and have places to go... by holding up traffic you will or might case a huge traffic accidents. People have places to go... stop holding up the lanes..
Indians and Frenchman are by far the worst for this. Even on steep up grades they won't move.
Ya my trucks governed out at 65 but if someone is barely passing my I just slow it down so he and the other drivers can get by.
If you're in a car, most interstates I know of are 65... sounds like someone's got a speed habit. If it's 65, do 65 or less. If the max speed is above, then I see your argument. But in most places I know of, this doesn't hold water. Just enjoy the drive, you don't have to do 100 all over the place so to speak just because you "can". I see so many accidents because of idots driving like that, where two cars end up over half-way inside of each other ;). Now, again, if it's higher then yea the point's valid. But it's rare enough from my experience... texas and georgia have 85 and 75 respectively in parts but... mostly 65 or less..
That extra .5 or 1 mph is very important for drivers in governed trucks 🚚

I know this isn't a popular thought but when I see this happen would it kill one of the other two drivers to just be a bro and slow down for 10 seconds to just let the ahole pass, it helps everyone else. It just seems like it's all an ego thing when no one really gives a frak.

The guy on the right might not know the guy on the left is there. It's the guy in the center that knows both are there ;). But you aren't wrong in your thought process there. Everyone's going as fast as they can on the roads these days, would it kill people to take the speed limit as the max they can go ... and perhaps stay there or just a tad under? I mean the passing lane is there for emergency vehicles and for when someone is slower than the speed limit and you want to pass to get up to the speed limit... not "god not another speed-limit driver... PASS!" still, left lane Larry there was the one in the wrong. In most places that's illegal anyways for a truck to be in the passing lane.

Yeah anytime I have someone to my left that's hogging the lane and not letting people pass, I speed up or slow down to make room for traffic to get by.

One of my biggest pet peeves is truckers trying to pass and only doing 1-2 miles more. I have had them take 12 miles to pass.
Growing up in Florida, I used to see this almost every time I got out on the interstate. It seemed to be common in the South. Where I live now in the Pacific NW, it's illegal for a large truck to even be in the left lane if there's more than 2 lanes, so I rarely see that here
Just moved to FL from CT. I’m used to everyone driving 80-90mph up there and trucks in the right lane. Down here, EVERYONE clogs up the left lane going 50-60mph. Most frustrating shit ever. And the Disney traffic is the absolute worst clogging up I4. They drive so slow down here! 😭
It is illegal PERIOD for any rig to be driving in the passing lane.
What's up driver? I must say that the world is full of stupid people and the stupid things they do. Man that takes a lot of nerve to drive on the side of the road. My dumb luck a cop wood be sitting there waiting for me. LOL definitely a great video to pass the day. Man, years ago... I had a nightmare .> ... I had a try at that, but had the guy try to run me over, then somehow got back around and in front and did a full, breaks to the floor in front of me.... it wasn't much further ahead, perhaps 15 min. later I saw a very interesting looking truck on the side of the road pulled over by the cops... exact lookalike, probably was the jackass lol. Never a smart thing to do, ever. But if you do it, you do it at your own risk, they can just wreck the trailer into you if they want and it'll be a "I didn't see them in my blind spot" moment... if no one sticks around as witness.

Yep, that is true. Police can write a ticket if you are holding left lane for more then 45 seconds or difference in speed less then 10 kph (6mph) between you and vehicle that you're overtaking.
@@Aleks426 The problem in Ontario and Québec Canada is that the trucks are speed limited to only 105 km/h (65 mph), and results in trucks take a lot longer than 45 seconds to pass each other. Pushing the accelerator pedal down harder doesn’t help.

A lot of company trucks speed is governed slightly above the speed limit or just below the limit. The truck being past is governed a little slower than the one in the left lane trying to pass. The slower truck should slow up enough to let the other truck to complete the pass,rather than prolong the pass. Its a little thing called common courtesy. The driver passing on thr shoulder is an owner operator, truck not governed.
ive done this a few times. but we have a carpool lane to get around and not just a shoulder. its common with the P.O.S. truckers in socal

Thing is, are they going the speed limit? If so you still don't have the right or need to pass. Unless you're an emergency vehicle on the way to an emergency, no one has the right to do over that speed limit, sounds like you need to calm down the driving attitude... I know because I've been there in the past ;) ... such a zen thing to do, driving after letting go of the anger.
I know a guy that likes to get by the slow driver and "correct their speed" to 1 mph slower then their governer. Granted he never brake checks them, he just lets the jake slow him down.

I asked a cop about this the other day, why they don't ticket the trucks in the passing lane here in Nevada. They can't... The computer has no category for the ticket and the courts aren't accepting the "other" write ins anymore for traffic related. Apparently the cops hate this crap as much as we do, and the second they get the option added they'll be ALL OVER those trucks blocking the left lane for no bloody reason, but getting software updates for government equipment takes an act of God so..I wouldn't count on it soon.
And let me take a guess.. All three of them commercial rigs with speed limiters? Whenever you see them turtle racing like this you know immediately that one bonehead is apparently tryna overtake, too bad he couldn't go any faster and only ends up hogging the lane himself 😅

I always try to make sure if I'm on the left lane, pass quickly and get back on the right or if you aren't making any progress and there's a lot of traffic behind, bite the bullet and head back on the right.

Fun fact for cdl drivers passing through Memphis TN. It is illegal for your cdl vehicle to be in the left lane. You can get issued a citation. Exceptions only when there is a left hand exit.
I’ve done this more than once (they were not truckers, though!). If anyone does ever happen to do this, please be careful and do NOT slam on your brakes. You don’t want to kill anyone. But, you probably don’t wanna do it, especially nowadays. Too many people are trigger happy!
Wish i could go faster than 66 mph so i could pass all the trucks on the right without causing a backup, also hate pickups pulling campers on thge hills hogging the middle lane so when i passed it on the right i did the what the 4 wheeler did not get infront but motioned them to over to the right and they did after i passed them

9 times out of 10 the vehicle being passed by other vehicles in the left lane will speed up matching or even passing the vehicle passing them. So without seeing the speeds or having been there it's difficult to conclude who was the bigger idiot But I do know this, had there been a collision, 1 car and 4 trucks would've been involved.... maybe more.
The speed is literally in the bottom of the screen....106kmh/65mph..... without seeing more of the beginning its hard to put blame on the left trucker. Governed speed and he is trying to pass

The truck in the left lane already cut off a pickup truck in a construction zone and got flipped off, and nearly clipped a cement truck wandering into the cement trucks lane. I didn’t save the footage of those two incidents but yeah, this “right service right choice” truck was already a menace with his driving beforehand…

There is an epidemic of morons on the road and sadly many drive semi's. They don't know how to read, they have no respect and they don't care. Back in the day, truckers were the knights of the road. Im tired of getting cut off by truckers swooping into the left lane almost had my entire front end ripped off by a container truck. They are the worst coming out of the ports. Lowest quality drivers around.

In my state its against the law to be in left lane except to PASS vehicles. Stops a lot of road rage. Now if all the ILLINOIS and OHIO people wouild wise up. You cannot just drive in the left lane when right lane is clear. Get over.

Although the trucker was in the wrong for clogging the left lane and not passing those other trucks quickly enough, the car driver wasn't any smarter for passing on the shoulder.

@@robinstewart6510 He was not passing, he was cruising or rather blocking the road. Passing is a maneuver when you pass someone. He had driven more than two kilometers without any changes in relative position.
@@robinstewart6510 If it takes you that long to "pass" you aren't trying hard enough so get behind the person you are attempting to "pass" instead of clogging the left lane and actually creating a traffic jam. If you are cruising alongside the vehicle to your right you can be cruising behind them, heck it will save you gas money in drag/air resistance. What intelligent trucker wouldn't want that?

🤣 Where does that road say "no truck lane?" It was, at most, a passing lane and that truck was in fact passing. Anyway, the only ones who got any kind of "karma" here were the ones stuck behind that truck as the jerk (with his illegal passing) slowed the truck down even more. I'm sure they were all praising the stupid jerk.

I've never seen a jerk so proud of being part of a four truck block aide. IMO, all four of these trucks should have been pulled over by DOT for dangerous driving and blocking traffic. It takes three trucks to perfectly block three lanes of traffic. The forth truck helped and deserved to lose his license too.
