Thank you for an amazing weekend, Trainers and Champions. Let’s take a look back at the memories you made walking along Victory Road this #PokemonWorlds!
I am new to VGC, I am a Nintendo online membership user and I get to watch the Pokemon app on my switch and I stumbled some older VGC videos they had on their during quarantine and I have been watching VGC no joke every day since for nearly 3 years now.. lol I am LOVE Pokémon! I haven't been to an event yet but next year I plan on making my first event.
Everything of the event is good but the lottery system for the world store was horrible.. it just let a lot of non-Pokemon fans to go into the venue (Multiple times, not sure how they do it) to buy all those products to selling it in unreasonable prices.. As a Pokemon fan, it's just sad when many people in the event(Of course not all) told me that they are not Pokemon fans and they just want to make money, if I want those exclusive products on their hands, just pay it x5 x6 price, or even more for sure.. I mean it just really disappointed when we fly from different countries(booked everything earlier)but just cannot go into the store to buy anything, not even a single product...
This fanbase is basically conditioned to pay more than they should for what they get, even without the scalping. This is why we get sub-par games and greedy freemium crud, because far too much of this fanbase falls for it, every time.
This video beautifully captures all the good that the weekend offered, but I’d be remiss if we didn’t also recap the miserable heat outside, the insanely long queues and lack of water in the vending machines. Or the massive crowds in the lobby making it impossible to navigate, or the event hall restaurants closing early or running out of food. Or the mismanaged side events that made it impossible to participate without a lot of anxiety. Or the impossible lottery system to enjoy any extra activities. Or the inability to purchase cool merch because the Pokémon Center appointments were difficult to score. Worlds 2023 was memorable for so many good things, but also so many bad things. I hate to be a downer, but let’s recap the good, the bad, and the (sweat-stained) ugly.
Espero que la franquicia de Pokémon siga creciendo la verdad todo de la saga me encanta espero algún día poder participar en algún evento es uno de mis sueños
Not a popular opinion it seems but I'm glad the cheaters were disqualified from vgc. In older gens hacking was a necessity to get optimal pokemon but nowadays it takes like a day of grinding to get a competitive team ready, if you don't want to put the work in to win, you shouldn't be able to compete against people who do
It SHOULD be a popular opinion, though. People should not hack to gain an advantage. If you use berries to do it, that can't be grounds for disqualification, as it is an in-game mechanism.
@@eboethrasher What advantage? If the stats, moves, etc. all match up with a Pokemon you can obtain legitimately, then it doesn't matter how it came to be, legit or not you'll lose to it just the same. Complaining about those Pokemon amounts to sour grapes.
This place is full of beauty and exciting awesome i even want to come here myself but i couldn't if didn't know the location and My parents not taking me but i would come here if i had the chance and a little older
Event recap: - Yokohama open cancelled just 3 weeks before, ignoring all the players who booked to play that - Monstrous (almost 3 hours) queue to get the pass - No opening ceremony - Some players had banned pokemon with no explanation from judges (a friend of mine had two mons banned on day 2, too bad the same ones passed the checks on day 1) - Consoles disconnected during ALL top 16 matches - The disconnection issue was overcame with a deleterious and useless SUDDEN DEATH. LITERALLY SUDDEN DEATHS RANDOMLY DECIDED TOP 16 OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. THAT'S UNACCEPTABLE - Only few top cut matches streamed because the confusion of all the hack checks dramatically slowed down the tournament These worlds were such a mess, worst event ever
No explanation? Dude they used hackmons, if they're gonna try to use hacks to skip the day of grinding at most it takes to get a competitive team ready they should be DQed. In older gens it was a necessity to generate pokemon, nowadays its just lazy since it's so much easier to get them legit The other points are all very good though
@@draconarius99 it is definitely a stupid decision to fly and book everything JUST to join an Open event. It literally almost always sold out anyways, and while I am empathetic, it would not be a good decision to fly out JUST to join Yokohama Open and not trying to enjoy everything else
I just want to remind everyone that a genned Pokémon with a completely legal build is exactly the same as a Pokémon trained ingame, and the fact that people who complain about genned *legal* Pokémon are simply making a fuss over nothing. Some people like grinding, some don't, but I believe (dis)qualification should be based on *legality* more than anything else, as the amount of hours spent getting a competitive Pokémon don't make any difference at all in the actual battle.
Least we won't have people cheating at worlds bow they uodayed the checks. Wolfe will have to build his own team from now on and stop relying on getting hacked mons from other people.
It's nice showing kids having fun, but what about showing the players mad for all the technical issues comming from the organization of the tournament...
I haven't heard much about technical issues. Only people I've seen mad are all the cheaters getting caught and DQ'ed in VGC. And they can stay mad, lol.
@@derpthebugbear a player literally had an issue comming from the servers while he was clearly about to win, the organization decided to decide the winner by doing another match where the first to lose a pokemon would lose. That guy went from 100% win to disqualified because of that
@@derpthebugbear btw, everyone cheats in these tournaments, some just don't get caught. And it's not the players fault, some pokemon are just way to hard top get or extremely pay to win (hisuian form for example). They should allow only pokemons available on the game itself (still is a problem with dlcs now) or allow generated pokemons
@noclyn8546 that's not a good argument anymore. Back in older gens it was really hard to get optimal pokemon, but nowadays it takes like a day at most to get a competitive team ready. The sudden death thing was stupid though
It is called Champion Road in Japanese, making sense because you are on your way to be a champion.
Why do you think we have something called "Victory Road" in the video games 😁
they are two different songs!
Thank you for an entire weekend of fun.♥️

Does Anyone Know What This Song is?
It Would Have Been Cool To Be There But Watching The Live Streams Was The Next Best Thing
Crazy how this started as a silly little kids game and became the most earning franchise and one of the most competitive games
1:32 - Yoshi has joined the Pokemon world championships!
Hopefully next time, I will be able to attend. It is a different vibe to be in person.
Play rock music to give you the feel you are in a battle.
