I have absolutely no experience in massaging someone. My girlfriend has a very tense, knotted and pained back. So I watched your video to help relieve some of her pain and it helped tremendously. She had gone to a misuse appointment and it didnt do much but when i rubbed her the way you showed it was way more helpful so thank you

I had two muscle knots removed in that same area. We had a health fair at my job and two students were do excited to do it. I felt them release, I felt soooo much better afterwards.

I need this. My shoulders hold ALL of my stress. I have panic attacks daily to the point that my entire body tenses up like I'm having a seizure. It's exhausting and so freaking painful. I could feel the release as I watched the muscle relax. Ugggh, it would be amazing to experience that. I bet he felt so much better!

Have u tried breathing exercises. When that happens, take a long but slow deep breath & hold it for 5 seconds then release it slowly with ur mouth closed, teeth together only allowing ur lips to release da air for 10 seconds or so & repeat. This relaxes da body & will slow da heart rate down. This helped me, I'm sure you've heard of it before

So some people say muscle 'knots' are not real. They sure feel real! They sure cause discomfort for real! And the relief that comes from massage is also very real.

    • @donnie7013

Megan Langreck They are indeed real, it’s just the muscle contracting and tensing up that gives it the uncomfortable feeling.

I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. A couple weeks ago I have my first massage ever, and it was amazing. Yes, it physically helps, but something noone talks about is actual just the touch. Just having a warm and comforting presence was honestly the best thing for me. I start massage therapy later this month and will alternate my appointments with my chiropractic ones as well.

My wife has a tendency to get muscle knots so I get to do massages often. Over time I developed a sense on how to get the muscles to relax. It feels amazing to have a video like this validate the techniques I instinctively picked up through experience. 4:17 one thing to note about muscle knots “letting go” is that sometimes they only appear to let go but they actually went under the finger or elbow or whatever body part you’re using for applying pressure. Even though the video didn’t show it, I’m pretty sure he went back and did this pin point pressure thing again a couple of times to ensure that the muscle knot was released. Sometimes, the muscle knots are just so bad that after a couple of these pin point deep pressure thing it still wont let go. At this point, I’ll get a glass bottle and fill it with lukewarm water, dry it up, oil up the bad muscle knot and just slowly glide the lukewarm glass bottle over it until it softens and I can get it to release.

  • @Selanium

I felt that muscle release in my soul. I need to get this done to my whole body then be snapped back into place by a chiropractor. Then have someone carry me around as I will most likely be to relaxed to move for a hour. :P

I do a lot of climbing and lifting that involves a lot of back muscles to work including the traps and trust me getting all those muscles massaged and relaxed reduces the neck pain 100% I would sometimes go a while without proper stretching and massaging and get a bad neck pain if I pulled myself up while rock climbing wrong like a Charlie horse and I go to my massage specialist 2-3 times a month and feel amazing

I have scoliosis. And the muscles compensate and try to straighten the spine which causes them to tighten up. So if you have that or anything else, I’d recommend a good massage. (Either getting one at a chiropractor or having a friend or loved one massage your back. Or get a massager.)

I have the biggest knot in my back ever it took this lady 45 minutes just to get the knot out of my back I asked her if she could walk on my back once she walked on my back and massage my back with their feet then she said she felt the knot release
