recall in kindergarten 1980. I thought the single-feeather Indian was the MOST hilarious character. Had trouble remembering the title, but tried yapping about to my classmates!
Playing fast and loose with historical accuracy I see. Electronic devices in the 1800s, candlelight powered perhaps. The Sergeant should be careful picking up that hot stove. 😅
I don't think I've ever seen this episode, and I was a faithful watcher of it as a child...probably because my Mom had me do chores faithfully every Saturday Morning! I usally wasn't through until early Saturday Afternoon (about 12:30pm) and by that time, the Cartoons were already broadcast! :)
The Colonel won a battle, but not the war.
I was amazed there was an episode that the Go Go Gophers lost.
Finally the Colonel won!
Well Gophers you cant win them all.
Very seldom you see the Gophers get hurt.
The Sargent was the voice of reason against the colonel and broke the fourth wall to remind kids to stay tuned.
I don't believe it. The Colonel finally beat the Gopher Indians.
1 to 0
Loved them when I was a kid. Love 'em even more now. The more politically incorrect, the better. OOPIE-DOOPIE, we have fun!

The Colonel often said "Bully" and "Chaaaarge" just like Theodore Roosevelt.
GO GO GOPHERS! BACK WHEN TV WAS Good!
Ruffled Feathers sounds different here.

And don't forget "Indian Giver", the great song by 1910 Fruitgum Company.
mellotron an oldie but a goodie for sure!
Love those gophers.

My 14 year old son talks just like Ruffled Feather, 90 miles and hour and you can't decipher a damn word.
the word Indian Giver is considered racist to today's standard.

When cartoons were done the hard way. The new animation sucks
these cartoons were still done in limited animation. where there was little body movement in the characters.
Wow, I used to watch as a kid,now seems a bit racist
