I just learned the guy who told this teddy bear story was jailed for some sort of theft scam thing well before telling it, so it sounds as if this story isn’t quite accurate. The teddy bears were for his daughters when they would sleep at that particular place. He wanted them set up for them. Of course it’s not good he was rude for that reason either but it’s good to know they weren’t bears for him personally.
