Modern CPUs need proper cooling and not everybody wants disco lighting or AIO coolers in their PC cases. Noctua is surely the best choice for those who want the best of traditional cooling. This video comes as a perfect introduction to the world of classic CPU coolers !
I used this cooler on a 7800x3d and getting about 80c 82c ( in a hotter climate ) R23 allcore
The NH-U12A is a very good alternative to the d15 and is much smaller ..
On a 1440p config ?
Cyberpunk, 7600x, 1080p best quality, 80-85°C
I replace it with a peerless 120 and it goes 75-80°C. For this price, this cooler is not to recommended for me.
Spent more on my Noctua kit than a ps5... and i love it!
I recently purchased this cooler and it came with the AMD offset brackets.

Decent temps tbh. I only tested with the i9 and stress tests got it to 90 degrees but general gaming was more like 50. Full review tomorrow.

Will the AM5 guide also work for AM4? A lot of people are still on that platform
All noctua am4 mounting (except the low profile L9 coolers) work on am5, the only difference is the introduction of the offset mounting. The L9 coolers have their own backplate which isn't supported because it's part of the socket now. Basically if your am4 cooler uses the stock backplate it'll work fine on am5.
Why do Amd CPUs have an unnecessarily complex design, why not just a rectangle?
Because they don't want to be like Intel ,clashing🤣
