We are a family of 6 living life in North Pole, Alaska! Where Santa Claus House is right down the street! We love spending time together as a family, having fun, learning through homeschooling, growing in our faith, and building our forever home! No store! I think sometimes a lot of us forget how easy we have it.
Burt, you are a rockstar! Living in Fairbanks back in the 80s, the coolest I ever saw was -75. Schools didn't close, but they gave parents the decision to send us to school or not. My mom sent us to school. I was at Lathrop high school and that building is cold! We huddled together in the middle of the rooms wearing full winter gear, trying to stay warm.

Wow!! 65 below zero is extreme. I applaud anyone that live in those temperatures. I could never do it. I have never seen a thermometer read that low! That's crazy! I can't believe they don't have a store of some sort. We don't realize how well we have it. Being able to go to the store whenever you want we take it for granted.

Spent two years flying around and doing school portraits for most of the villages on the North Slope. I remember playing the “will the plane come in today” game.

Total Rockstar, they must be so appreciative of your skill and commitment to help. I grew up in Norman Wells, NWT, and do remember the one winter it was -70 degrees. Live in British Columbia now, in Canada, but wow, that was crazy times. Kudos to you and the fam jam for weathering it all!
