Huion kindly sent me their Kamvas 16 tablet to review! So in this video I talk about my experience with it, as well as show you the unboxing part! Tried doing a little speedpaint to demonstrate me using it as well, I hope you like it and find it useful in some way!

The more painterly version is gorgeous but I’ll be honest, the line art really stole my heart!
Also lol I immediately recognized this is as a milkywaes art! Pretty girl, big eyes, small nose, sparkles ✨
i like the review. besides the clear test, it's useful to see an artist using the product to create artwork. seeing it being used also helped me understand the size of the tablet. thank you.

Honestly I've only had huion drawing tablets before and haven't used them since getting an ipad in 2020, but i'd like to try out this display one! Especially since i want to try working in CSP more instead of only procreate ☺

just got huions ultra 4k for 900$ as my very first digital art set up and am going to test it out today!! I am SO excited. Digital artists, tips?
My tip is mastering layers is a big part of mastering digital art
Practice makes progress, and progress makes perfect. My advice to you is to draw every day whether it's just a warmup sketch of a face or a background.

Aw no, I think this piece came out beautiful! I love seeing the darker, moodier palette and I ADORE how you stylized the girlies' lips and eyes. And using joycons as a remote is so cool! I have the Clip Studio Paint one and I love it so much that I bought a second one when one of the buttons on my first one got broken. Maybe CSP can send you one of those, hehe. Always so fun to see your art, so inspiring!!

which one did u end up getting? :) i’m debating the exact same two! i like the buttonless interface of the 22 but really want the portability of the 16

might try to get this one later down the line. the tablet I have isn't terrible its a Ugee. its quite a big tablet with hot keys and stuff and its been comfortable for me. I'll probably look into getting this tablet (if it still around) whenever the tablet I have like.. gives out or something

I was *just* going to recommend the joycons! It's the most comfortable shortcut controller I've found. I use REWASD which is paid but it's very robust. 8bitdo also has a new mini controller that has a keyboard mode designed for shortcuts :O

also, question, did you had any problems with the drivers? my last tablet was from huion and i had a lot of problems, like the driver deactivating alone :(
She said it was good to go when she downloaded it and there were no issues

yep, the better the laminated screen, the less if any parallax 🙂 i never use the keys either, my keyboard is always right next to me

Do you think this is a big step up from the 22 plus that was released about 3-4 years ago? Because tech keeps evolving everyday and I expect overall this is a better tablet with newer tech inside it etc? This is for 3D sculpting btw. Thanks for the video!

@ lag (or delayed progress of the line on the screen) I experience with Clip Studio Paint abysmally bad lag on a device that many times more powerful than needed. And it delivers in apps like Krita even with the most memory hungry convoluted brushes work fine. But Clip Studio "runs out of breath" with the simples run of the mill "chalk crayon"! Did you make any performance adjustments in Clip?
Hello! it is possible that the model is Kamvas pro 16 2.5K? Because I believe this is the newer model, there is also a kamvas pro 16 from 2019, thanks!
