A bird dog hunters dream. Wonderful photography. Only a bird dog hunter can truly appreciate your hunt, this beautiful land ,the birds that it holds. Perfect for a pointer like my French Britany.
I truly appreciate the kind words. Thanks so much for following along, glad you enjoyed it. Best of luck to you and your French Brit this season👍🏻
It's been so hot the last few years out there I've been bringing a 2 gallon sprayer that I half fill with ice and keep in the truck. Also I bring frozen water bottles in my game bag. I did one time have to cut one open and let the dog chew ice to cool down. When you get into birds in a short time period your dogs can overheat really quick.
September 15th can't come soon enough! Beautiful Dog work as always!! The whole family enjoyed this one in the living room today!
Awesome! Thanks so much man, good luck this season!
With all this rain here in southern Michigan guess I shouldn't be surprised we found little pod at 1100 up on oak ridge.. ran our best spot nothing west Nile probably got those mosquitoes were painful .. I wouldn't be surprised birds are in different places than normal.. those bone dry areas last year might be exactly where they are.. this year.. dog hasn't missed a beat all that hard work we put in last year in the UP really pays we hunt local down state.. acorns hanging heavy going to be some great bucks on state game this year.. guys selling bait going to have lean year hopefully they can still turn a profit .

All that's missing is pinnated grouse, man, what an amazing experience you get to have, thanks for sharing it!
Thanks for following along! We ended up going after and shot a prairie chicken this past week! Will be on the next video 👍🏻
Glad to see your back at it-I really enjoy the hunts and dog work. Looking forward to more be safe.
Thanks Gary! Good to hear from you again, take care.
Nice! Good showing on how to tough it out in high heat conditions and keep the dogs safe.
Thank you 👍🏻
I love watching Britts, even when they're being clowns! Nice work!
Thank you 👍🏻
I don't know how we get anything done, we only have one but he is entertaining waking or sleeping.
Wow awesome habitat and dog work which made for a great hunt....Great exercise
Thank you! That’s what it’s all about 👍🏻 good looking dogs in good looking country side.
I love Aspen. Thanks for the videos. Im on a binge watching your adventures. :))
Thanks for following along!
small cement tub with a thin layer of cool water on the bottom is also a great way to cool off a dog quickly.
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Looks like you had a good trip! We just got back from MT for the opener and had a blast. Ruffs, sharpies, Huns and sage all had solid numbers. Maybe not the most economical way to keep dogs cool, but we would put bags of ice on the dogs in the trailer. Ice stayed frozen four or so hours in the 90 heat if you didn’t break the block up. Also good to quickly cool dogs down after a mid-day run. We actually had a ton of success running our very well conditioned dogs, carefully, in the heat while everyone else was holed away in the shade or inside.
Right on man, good stuff there! Good luck the rest of the season!
Happy hunting!
Beautiful dog work. Thanks so much for the explanation. I’ve been curious as to how you keep your dogs cool in the hotter weather…
Thanks a lot man!
Watching this from my campsite in MT. My dog had a great day on some huns!
Right on, good to hear man!
Thanks for sharing buddy! it's amazing, I love upland bird chasing, too, here in Italy!
Thanks for following along! Good luck hunting, cheers 👍🏻
Some nice dog work and not bad camera work either.
Can’t wait for the 15th here in Ontario to get after some birds. Hope the weather cools down and the fires stop burning. Thanks for the great video and take care of those dogs.
Thanks a lot Dan! Good luck to you this season!
Nice job, boss! Super good information towards the end. Enjoy.

I have those same screens you have for your cab , I use it at work also to keep flys out of the truck
Nice!!
Nice start. Yeah it seems like the weather never wants to cooperate on the opener, always so hot.
Hot, but it cooled down shortly!
Another great video, getting ready for September 15th here won't be long now 😊
Thanks man! Good luck!
Next level video footage! 😮💨 💪 wish I was out there! Look like you’ve got your hands full 😬
Thanks a lot brother!

Man, if you come to Arizona again, I'd love to link up with you.
PARADISE 🤩🤩 for me , french hunter what's the way to come and hunt with you 😂🙏
Nice video, hope it cools down a bit soon!
Thank you 👍🏻 Cooler weather starting today!
You have a nice swing dude.😊
Thank you!
In my previous rig, I ran a couple 12V fans that was blowing into the kennels for extra hot days. Never want a hot doggy in the back!
Good stuff man! Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Residents only till the September 15th this year! Long overdue.
Just got back to TN from hunting MT. Had a pretty good trip. I’d be interested in the general area you hunt out there. We hunted central MT and got into quite a bit of birds. We ended up with a 4 day limit of sharpies, but only got into 1 covey of Huns and got a couple out of that covey. We saw a couple of sage, but never could close the distance and get them to hold unfortunately. I’ve got a Brittany and an English setter and before any hunt, especially this one, I cut their hair with a #7 guard to help keep them cool. Great video and love the break down of your setup! Always love hearing how others do things as well when on the road.
Sounds like a good trip man, congrats!
shorter hair helps keep stickers away as well right?
@@fidiusjwhoopie it does for sure! Can’t do much about the cactus and sand spurs though.
very beautiful hunted and Hunter 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
I’m jealous! I live in MT and my opener was meh. Took down one hun and had a pretty close encounter with a rattler.
Yikes! Good luck the rest of the season man!
Awesome video. Love the dogs and your hunting style. Thanks for sharing. Coming at ya from Canada. Beautiful country there. What part of the country are you in? I take it northern Prairies?
Thanks so much. Josh
I appreciate the kind words and comments, thanks for following along! North West US.
Man I wish I had the resources for this
Nice hunting .
Thank you!
What are you doing for preventative measures for snakes that time of year? I am planning a 2024 Sept opener in Central Eastern MT with 3 GSP's and want to be prepared.
Did you see any snakes?
I truly enjoy your videos and am learning a ton from you!
Keep up the good work and best of luck to you this upcoming season, maybe we'll see ya on the prairie this year!
Thanks for following along! My Snake prevention is hunting in areas that aren't usually known for snakes, and to date I haven't had a run in, knock on wood. Best of luck out there, safe travels and happy hunting. Cheers!
🔥🔥🔥
👍🏻👊🏻
Love watching your videos man. Keep them coming.I would like to know which side by side 20 gauge are you using.
Thank you! It’s a stoeger Uplander. I also just picked up the new Weatherby Orion SXS
@@UplanderLifestyle Goodmorning brother one last question I would like to ask is that I’m thinking of picking it up the Stoeger uplander 20. Just wanna know has it ever given you problems. Is it a pretty strong and at least well made. Thank you
best hunt
Great video man. What can you tell me about the Brittany terpemt on them
Thank you! They are loving dogs that will hunt all day and cuddle up on you at night.
Aspen ❤
She’s been great!
Some of those points you could walk a little faster. Birds won't sit there forever
Early season birds usually hold pretty tight, especially with good dogs that don't pressure them. Now late season pheasnts you need to get your butt in gear lol.
Test time... lol
Great work man! We went to Idaho for the forest grouse opener. Needed to bag a spruce grouse and check that off the list. Gonna miss early season prairie birds this year, but sage grouse opens next weekend.
Hope your season goes well brother!
Thanks man! Congrats on your success. Good luck the rest of the season 👍🏻
I really want to try Montana early season but I'm afraid of snakes for myself and for my dogs. Have you seen any thus far?
No snake run ins
Those are Brittanys, right? You appear to really like them...why that breed as opposed to other bird dogs? I'd like to get a bird dog sometime, and I've really enjoyed English Pointers and Setters, but I haven't really spent time around Brittanys yet/
What size shot are you using, 6 or 7.5? Excellent video!!
Thank you! Shooting 7.5s
what caliber is the gun? how long is the barrel?
Хорошая стрельба,хорошая работа собак, грамотно построена операторская работа,прямо ещё один Эрик Фостер..., только помоложе)))
Thank you 👍🏻
hello friend uplander, a question what chokes are you using on your shotgun?
IC and MOD
Would it be wiser to start hunting later in the month to avoid the heat and rattlesnakes?
There’s pros and cons to each. Haven’t had any snake run ins
Do you follow possession limits for the states you are hunting?
I follow all rules and regulations.
What is your dog's breed? Beautiful work by both you and them!
Thank you! They are Brittany’s.
What combo of chokes are you using?
Improved cylinder and modified
Muito bom ❤ amo caçar de avoo
Hunted the first ten days of October peak western end UP . for 20 years in row . really no one hunts in the woods I'm sure you know what I'm saying.. unless they were from out of state and every single one of them said same thing hunted all over the country and this UP hunt was by fare there favorite.. I'd be worried about rattle snakes that heat be hard on the dog they get tagged
There’s always some type of risk running dogs no matter where you’re at. People out here don’t even blink an eye at snakes, it’s just part of life. But if they want to go run in the grouse woods, their concern is wolves. It’s flipped for us and them. We just live with the wolves and know we could see one, so we make it seem like it’s not big deal.
Do you snake train your dogs for these trips? I want to make a trip out there but I'm terrified of them getting into rattlers and such.
I do not. We have yet to run into a snake, always a possibility.
pretty awesome. What's your gun ?
Thanks, Stoeger Uplander.
I think that you need some experience.. In the minute 5:30 the dog stopped it's sign that birds was there in that moment you should be already aiming.. you didn't aim until the birds flew so you missed about tow seconds
I don’t shoulder my gun until birds take flight…. And I still killed both birds 😜
@@UplanderLifestyle you would kill more if you do..
@@daouddjekrif not sure that there is some person who can recharge 2 barrel shorgun so fast. 2 shots - 2 birds, what do you need more?
Which camera you are using?
Go pro 10
it looks like a least 1 of your dogs has mastered the "flying crotch kick" gotta love it, (unless its your crotch)
great hunt thanks for sharing
I need to wear a cup when I take her out! 🤣thanks for following along, good luck this season!
What state are yo hunting?
How are the snakes?
Haven’t seen any
what kind of hunting rifle do you have?
It’s a 20 gauge side by side shot gun 👍🏻
BLACK MIRROR - TWILIGHT ZONE SHTF.
Love your videos! What kennel do you get your Brittany’s from? I’d love to get some soon, I also messaged you on Instagram about it :)
curious why you shoot on the birds that the dogs bust?
I don't consider any of the birds I shot at here busted, there was one at the end where the dog was tracking a pheasant that was running, i don't believe the dog was trying to purposely flush birds, if he was that's a different story.

What breeds are dogs? Thank you.
They are Brittany’s
Live and in color... lol #ssgsd
Are they French Brittanys?
They are American Brits 👍🏻
are you not worried about someone driving by and breaking in your truck and taking your dogs.
