I am 41. Nearly every hunter and fisherman I knew growing up was an outlaw. It was engrained in the southern outdoors culture. Cat and mouse with the wardens, trespassing, and night hunting was all considered normal. Hearing these guys stories reminds me of sitting with the men when I was a kid and hearing their stories. This was normal and accepted practice before hunting got cool and extremely valuable commercially.

Racism was engrained in the southern culture too. I wouldn’t be bragging about either of them though. It’s not a great look on the southerners.

@@country6368 Not a fan of a high fence. Turns hunting into harvesting; hunters into field hands, willing to pay for the privilege to kill a pen raised deer. Would have never believed it a half century ago when I started that it would become what it has.

In Oklahoma the deer are owned by the state they claim. But if you hit one with your car it is not their fault figure that out. The landowner is the one that takes care of them and feeds them and feed them they should be getting a check from the wildlife what life department

In GA they let you hunt their deer on your land without buying a state license (rolls eyes) if it's you or immediate family, but no cousins, buddies or your girlfriend. They still got to pay the state to take a gun in your woods. Why else do you think we marry our cousins down here? If her daddy had land like that you'd marry her too! 🤷🤣

If you watch part 3, th-cam.com/video/GbkgG1-KyKQ/w-d-xo.html you'll see that Beaty is by far the more entertaining storyteller, but in this one Lane can't seem to shut up long enough for him to get a foothold in the conversation. HA will say, "Well Charles what about this or that", and Lane just freight trains over him as soon as he opens his mouth to speak, so finally Beaty just folds his arms and lets Lane have it.

The only defense is based upon where you live. If you live in a community where there is a majority land owner who will not let anyone hunt and he essentially owns the region like a petty king and treats his less wealthy neighbors like serfs- then I kind of condone it as a reality and a way of sticking your thumb in the kings eye- we all understand the myth of Robin Hood but sometimes fail to see that we have modern versions of King John and Sherwood forest. Shutting off the deer is no different than diverting the stream- it can be considered an act of war. Gate controlling access to backcountry land is another form elitist behavior. Charge a reasonable fee and collect refundable deposit to ensure safe clean transit. Hunting in America should not be for the rich like it is in Europe.

My dad got busted hunting out of a tree on opening day , someone called on him . My gramps and his brothers always shit deer in there back yard all yr round . One time him and his brothers left deer camp and went to bar. On there way back they saw a 8pt in someone's yard and they pulled head lights on it . Shit it with 30-06 (loud) and they then gutted it out right there and dragged it to the car and put it in the trunk. No trucks back then old boats of a car. The guy who lived in home actually looked out the front window cuz he was awake , lights on in home and they didn't even care. That stuff was normal back then . Not today though

Pump jacks are a beautiful sight as well correct? Drilling rigs poisoning ground water. You can’t run N eight well pad in. Week and suggest the concrete is cured and protecting the water table.
Also misinformation is famous, they (wind farms)will repair leading edges like airplanes. Also the turbines are contracted to be removed after their 20 year life span. You can farm, ranch, and hunt around them due to the small footprint.
As for the freeze. Natural gas, oil, and nuclear all failed. You can’t bitch about turbines not producing enough energy and then blame them them for the black out.
    Ignorants is bliss.

We plucked a big doe one night and got her loaded up in the truck Drove on threw the reservation to the next county over to get more beer from the store Came out of the store and the dam deer was standing in the back of the truck
It was panic mode WWE style to get the situation under control and get the hell out of that place

Charles Beaty is my cousin and I love in Grand Prairie Texas for the past 30 years. Last time I saw him was at our family reunion. I'm proud of the recognition he's getting for his life's work but I don't appreciate the poaching. It's illegal and not okay. But he made his living doing it so at least he was doing something and not sitting on his ass like a lot of people.

Helicopters and drones with infrared would catch poachers well now days. There are noise monitors and cameras they can put anywhere. Hope people don’t get bad ideas listening to these guys. They may get a rush trying it but they will most likely be caught, spend time behind bars and lose property and a lot of money. Best to be a sportsman and follow the laws. I don’t get many trespassers and poachers on my land but my friend and one of my neighbors on his land get them a lot. My friend found seven dead deer on his hill right after he kicked a guy off his property. Poachers around our area are true low life guys. These guys, as much as they are entertaining in their stories are no hero’s.
