- Alexandre Pato left Porto Alegre and Internacional in 2007 to sign for Carlo Ancelotti's illustrious AC Milan side. Two years later, the forward won the Golden Boy award and was tipped to be one of the next big players in world football. Fast-forward five years and Pato was back in Brazil, being loaned from Corinthians to São Paulo.

This is just amazing, an entire hour of hearing his side of the story. He was one of the Brazilian players I thought would light up the world with the likes of Robinho and Ganso. This is why I refrain from calling them "failed wonderkids" or whatever because they have a side to the story we don't know. Same thing with the Adriano interview from a while ago...it's just fascinating to hear their take on it all

I remember watching a Pato highlight video on youtube back in the day. Must have been like 7 years old or somethibg. This guy really made me love football at a young age.
Had everything to be one of the best players of all time such a shame about the injuries at a young age still one my favourite ever players guy was so fast, skilful could go past defenders at ease also a great strike miss the pato that burst onto the scene in the 00s
O mais absurdo é que quando o Pato saiu do Inter e foi pro Milan, o que mais se falava era do "Milan Lab"... Que era supostamente o centro mundial de medicina esportiva.
Lembro como hoje o orgulho que eles tinham daquilo. Era como se fosse um jogador. O que eu comprei de briga nos foruns do Milan chamando o MIlan Lab de fraude... Bons tempos. rs

Pato should've read a bit more, a few times he mentioned not understanding the football business but surely reading your contract to understand whether it's a loan or permanent deal is standard.
I used to play with Milan or Brazil in FIFA just for him. You could dribble easily with him. I blame the Milan medical staff who did poorly over the years at that time, not only with Pato but also with so other players. They were totally outdated. Also, Milan started to crumble economically and expectations to still stay at the top burdened him more than he could handle.

Pato yo he visto tus partidos en el Milan desde aqui en Lima y me parecia genial como jugabas con esos semidioses que estaban en el Milan aquel tiempo y tu joven casi contemporáneo a uno y dabas cabida a soñar de poder jugar al lado de esos cracks y tu te volviste uno de esos. Como no juegas la copa libertadores, donde gustes, te esperamos.
It’s all nice and beautiful but the reason why he had those injuries is because he kept partying until 5am during his time in milano and not taking care of himself. He makes it sound like as if it was not his fault

Both are absolute diamonds in the rough, both start at Milan, they both end up having some success but short-lived.
Then they start having physical issues, then their mental health degrade and some supporters begin to turn against them.

He was the last great striker Brazil produced. A better talent I think than even Neymar. AC Milan really messed up his career. He is still my favorite player of his generation, it is shocking how both Pato and Balotelli never reached their potential for totally different reasons. He should have been starting striker whole time he was in China over Fred and Firmino and all other trash we had up front. Brazil wasted this guy.

Pato is Brasilian and for many years any Brasilian player was hyped up, usually way above their level. Pato was an above average player nothing more, never world class.

His real problem was his life style...and his relationship with Barbara Berlusconi the daughter of the owner of Ac MILAN ! She used to pay for him the fees of his divorce which coasts 70k euro per month ! Moreover he missed several training sessions and got injured several muscle injuries...! It was all about hamstring issues
