Really wonderfull work, i´m starting to paint some watercolours and your speed painting was a great lesson to watch. Thank you very much for sharing the whole process. The time jump is nothing compared to the value of the entire video ... and Kelly, there are no such thing as coincidences ;D
This is wonderful. I had to do an image search, just to see where you pulled the pics to paint and I think I found them. If so, WOW, I love that you choose such disparate moments to blend.
I really loved the Amanda photo, and after that I had to find current-ish one of Neil where the light at least sort of matched. Harder to do than I thought!
Oh my god, I love Amanda Palmer (and Neil, of course) so when I saw this in my subscription box I became ridiculously excited and I certainly was not disappointed! This is absolutely beautiful, as usual :)
Lots of Study-lots of practise-lots of thought over the years,..you've got it all goin' on here Kelly..Wonderful.!!! Any possibility of a short documentary commentary on the process, together with some specific thoughts or insights picked from the 3 hrs- I believe that would be very helpful to all the budding artists falling under your spell. Kind R'grds..
Kelly, another beautiful painting - I have learned so much from you-I keep working on my faces, one of these days I'll send you one for comment. Have a wonderful 2014
Gorgeous! I found your channel via your sister's TH-cam. It makes me so happy that her you seem to be interested in the same nerdy people that I love. I hope that some day, this piece may be available as a print, because I would so buy that! BTW, Neil and Amanda are the nicest people ever. I hope that you have or will Tweet them a copy of this, because they will most likely respond.
Great job! I found you through your sister's channel and glad I did. I am a big fan of both Neil and Amanda. Neil is actually teaching at my college starting this coming semester and the two of them are moving nearby!
Lovely...thanks for sharing. I have tried watercolour portraits, but always seem to have trouble with getting edges soft enough like yours. My edges always dry hard. :( Any suggestions?
Yeah, the narration ones take twice as long to put together (at least a whole day from start to finish), so sometimes it's nice for me to just pop these up for entertainment more than instruction. But I'm glad you like my narrations. They are so hard!
I think you should show that process once or twice. It makes a big difference on how much detail you need with the pencil and what details come after with the painting. I never know what aspects to focus on when drawing it out.
SO TRUE! He basically painted himself! His reference photo was kind of low-res, so I decided to put him in the background where the details wouldn't be as sharp as hers. But also there are *so may unique things* going on with Amanda here. Thanks for watching!
Amazing. Have you seen the video of her singing Radiohead's Creep while sitting in the dark in her underwear. She's being filmed for some project Neil is associated with and you can actually see him falling for her in the video. It's magical.
Hi I am Khalda from Kuwait I am watercolor lover I know how to draw but my painting always become pastel color I don't know why I use to much water I get fared when I use strong colors I am in my last year in dramatic art installs and I stele Freda from darks 😓

I love Amanda's music. And your painting is stunning as always.

You bet, Pam!

Oh my god, I love Amanda Palmer (and Neil, of course) so when I saw this in my subscription box I became ridiculously excited and I certainly was not disappointed! This is absolutely beautiful, as usual :)
Thank you so much! It's kind of intimidating to paint people whose fan bases are so passionate and devoted. Relieved that you liked it!
Magnificent!!! Happy New Year!
You are a very very impressive painter....awesome job.

Amazing! May I request a color mixing tutorial? I'd love to know how you mix your flesh tones with a beginners palette!

Wow, how cool is that? :D
Yes! I've met them a few times and they're awesome. Congrats on Amanda sharing this video! Auctioning the painting is a cool idea.
Very beautiful to watch. I love to paint watercolor too, but you make me look like a complete amateur.
Beautiful!
Glad you liked it!

Lovely...thanks for sharing. I have tried watercolour portraits, but always seem to have trouble with getting edges soft enough like yours. My edges always dry hard. :( Any suggestions?
Beautiful work :)
Awesome job!!!!
Thanks, Donna!
Beautiful!
hi Kelly, I have seen few of your videos and they are realy amazing. May I know what is that glossy thing you apply first on your paintings?
Fantastic!!
Je to naprosto úžasný. Chtěla bych umět taky tak malovat. Z Prahy zdraví Ilona
Fantastic!
This is perfection
You are super talented! Just wanted to let you know that my personal preference is when you narrate the sped-up videos instead of just music. :)
Yeah, the narration ones take twice as long to put together (at least a whole day from start to finish), so sometimes it's nice for me to just pop these up for entertainment more than instruction. But I'm glad you like my narrations. They are so hard!
Amazing :)) Where did you learn to paint like this?
This is so amazing that it needs to be worth a billion dollars bc holly shit that's awesome
Amazing as always! Do you sketch out the drawings before typically with pencil?
Yes, and the process is relatively boring and hard to see--I draw extremely light outlines of everything. (Thank you!)
I think you should show that process once or twice. It makes a big difference on how much detail you need with the pencil and what details come after with the painting. I never know what aspects to focus on when drawing it out.
In-freakin-credible!! Bravo.
Thanks a lot!
I would totally buy this
I'd love your wig. Where'd you get it? xD

WOW YOU ARE JUST SOOO TALENTED! :D
Thanks a lot!
magnifique bravo
Wow. Neil's face came together so much easier and more quickly. I wonder what that says about them? LOL
SO TRUE! He basically painted himself! His reference photo was kind of low-res, so I decided to put him in the background where the details wouldn't be as sharp as hers. But also there are *so may unique things* going on with Amanda here. Thanks for watching!
