Fly Tying a Caddis Larva by Mak 🔥🔥

This is also a Great Larvae for all Year Round
Hook size 10 Sedge Hook ,, Thread Olive
Body Yellow Nymph Skin ,, Wing Brown Partridge with some mix Dubbing

when i tie my nymphs, with weight.. i tie the weight to eather side of the shank of the hook, then to keep that from spinning to one side or the other.. i use a little uv varish to lock the weight to each side( of course after wrapping tieing thread over the weight.. ) this give me a flatter body cross section... i have noticed of all my years of fly fishing... most nymphs are flat bodyed in a stream, sometimes even a lake/ pond make the fly more natural to the fish...i guess tieing them round saves a min or so,, but flat body flys catch me more fish than round body flyes

Thank you Randell, I agree it's up to you how precise you want to be when it comes to tying, like I always say take your time, if you want to tie perfect fly, I like your idea off adding weight either side of the Shank :))

@@jamisonlacey5532 the bark does not keep the fish on the hook.. the BEND OF THE HOOK and pressure from the line and rod... keeps the fish on the hook

Thank you FaTmAn, I really appreciate that, I am glad that you are taking interest tying your own Flies, As for the Equipment's, I always suggest that you buy good Rotating Vice, There are so many to Choose from, best way is to go in any Tackle shop and try the Vice, that which is suited for your Hand , buy a good Bobbin Holder ( Tiemco ) & Scissors, As for the Materials there is no limit, you buy as you go along,
