I've been interested prior to your first video, but wasn't sure due to space issues and too much equipment already, but I think you may have convinced me to go for it 👍
I have to say you and Rachel have to be two of the nicest people I've ever met and I've never seen two people that complement each other more. And on top of that Gabriel this is the best Channel on TH-cam I don't care how many followers you have if it was a million or if you just had one.
I bought a fierce reflex cobra bag and have noticed my striking improved. I'm landing more shots and my timing is getting sharper. I'm more elusive and getting hit less in sparring. Definitely recommend it for any combat athlete
If you hook, let the ball bounce right to left and catch it with a straight while it comes from the left to right it should pull right into your glove. Generally when the bag is going sideways, its easier to hit if its coming from the opposite side toward your hand.
I’ve had mine for about 2 years now. It’s definitely done wonders for my accuracy and timing. The bag moving funny if you hit it incorrectly was a surprising and unexpected benefit that I’m glad you mentioned.
@@edwhlam The experience can vary depending on the cobra/reflex bag. I’ve used ones like in the video that are a pretty hard bag that recoil pretty fast. I’ve also used ones that are air filled bags that don’t hurt when they hit you bag. I’ve used ones that have multiple joints that recoil much more slowly but can behave very wildly. The one I personally own is like the one in the video that can hurt you and snaps back quickly. I enjoy hitting the cobra bag more than a double end bag as it is more satisfying to hit. The way it swings back is very good for slips and pull counters. If I had to pick just one it would be the cobra bag. Double end bags are of a great benefit too though and are much more quiet. If you live in a 2nd floor apartment and hit a cobra bag with hard shots it will definitely make a lot of noise. I have 100lbs weighing mine down and it can still lift up and smack the ground. Luckily I have mine set up in a basement so I don’t have to worry.
I've been considering something like this just to have something to do during Covid lockdowns. Very intriguing - thanks for the demonstration and tips! Also, I'm glad Rachel is recovering from the car accident. All the best to you both!
Please tell Rachel, I'm glad to hear she's ok from her accident. And thanks again for the video, I was on the fence about getting one of these. No more, time to save.
It good that you are teaching the importance of technique. Too many want to speed their drill before they are ready or mastered the basic. In doing so they muscle memorise bad technique.
What is the proper height of reflex bag for good boxing practice ? Does set the top of reflex bag straight line with the top of the head is the proper height ?
I just have my one at home now. you still use it? It is really not easy like it looks. In speziell wennI try to really extend my arm in punching. I saw U also do not extend the punch here. is maybe this the trick to get used on it?
Just checked. I'd say the lowest height is about 5'5" If you decide to purchase using the link below is greatly appreciated 🙏 www.hayabusafight.com/varga
The hayabusa cobra bag is too slow the spring is too thick if you look at canelo and ryan Garcias videos there cobra bags have alot more speed. I'm not sure if you're paid by hayabusa to advertise their bag but it's not that great for their cobra bag. There quality is good and everything but they missed out on the whole point is timming and speed and the speed isn't there
A coach once said to me, "The best bags in the gym make you miss." Love it! Think I will pull the trigger on one of these.
Who's interested in grabbing a cobra bag after watching this episode?
What's your take on them?
Worth while or not?
I like it!
Mine's already on the way... this old man is trying to improve but equipments are soooo expensive

It looks like fun. I wonder how much different it is to use compared to a double end bag.
Gabe announce the winner of the contest :(
Gabe post the winner for the giveaway!!!

When did you meet them?
@@TristanBehrens you got any more stupid 💩 to say ? Do realize people can make observations and state their own opinion without asking you right ?
@@matthew-jy5jp But you said you met them. When did you meet them?

Best guide I’ve seen so far, amazing and concise! Ty for this brotha!

How would you compare with a double ended bag? If you can have only one, which one would you buy?

@@CoASoFi Thanks. I will put it in a basement. Sounds like the Cobra bag is what I am looking for.
I just purchased one of these today. This video has been very helpful! Thank you!
That is cool!!! I like to see how you grow. It is cool to see you pick up some thing from scratch.

I have the Everlast version of this. It's all right, but the moving arm is a lot longer so it's slower to use. Still a fun tool.
The best advice ive ever gotten with any rhythm based boxing equipment is to start by slapping. Idk why but it makes a big difference for me
Its almost like a metronome for boxing rhythm. Thats cool.
Bro that looks super fun!!! Nice piece of equipment!!! Waiting for the follow up video!! U r doing it good! Thanks for the content
very cool vid, how about showing us a few techniques on the speed bag and double end bag too ? Thanks

Got mine today - totally awesome … but also loud. Any idea on how to insulate it maybe, so the neighbours downstairs are alright?

It seems boxers put it slight below head level so that what I did as well. 2-3 inches lower
You give us great content Gabriel, but we would all greatly benefit if you could improve audio quality. It would make your content even better :D
Man congratulations on the 70k subscribers ❤️
Can you make how to improve the back kick
The real champ is in the house today 😊
Never clicked on Gabriel’s videos so fast as I did this one lol
Just from watching I think the click clack noise helps with timing.
Wow. Didn't know she was in a car crash recently. Glad she's okay
Great review Gabriel
I can't seem to find that follow up episode …

what is the spring? what can it be from? so springy and returnable?
How long does cobra bag last? Does it brake easily?
@Gabriel Varga can you do a similar Video on a Sparbar or a spin Trainer its called sometimes
Can u do a video on double end bag please??
Can we get a link for this?
Unfortunately my bag broke twice in the first 15 minutes don't get this if ur heavier it will break at the first heavy shot basically

you still train with it?
How low can this adjust? I would love to buy this as a joint gift for myself and my son, hes 9 btw
Just checked. I'd say the lowest height is about 5'5"

If my girl don't look at me like Rach does to Gabriel, I don't want her.
That still shot is in the way of seeing you brother. Is it just me I see no complaints. Hmm 😒 🤔
I'm quite sure, the cobra bag will be snapped after 1 year of usage

Appears to be pretty noisy. Not a very neighbor-friendly device, I guess. 😁

that design would be a whole wide world better if it was stiffened up until its as slow as a human
Kewlus or fierce better. This is too slow,
