Start off your day with a teaspoon of water from a pint of fresh spring water with 5 tablespoons of Redmond salt which has sat on table for 5 days in advance. I put it in a 16 ounce stainless steel cup. Great hydration before you eat anything in morning
A teaspoon of salt (your recommendation) is directly in line with government RDIs. That is 5000mg. Approx 2000 mg of sodium and 3000 mg of chloride. One biologist stated “we evolved out of the sea, and we took the sea with us”.
Thank you I have thyroid problem for a lot time I just purchased iodine solution and I have not use it yet . However I’m hoping I can have good result and I can get rid of this Synthroid medication I’m on for a long time .
When starting iodine, companion nutrients are essential to help the body detoxify from the bad halides like bromide and fluoride. In Dr Brownstein’s book he mentions Magnesium, selenium, vitamin c and vitamin B are needed when taking iodine.
Iodine wakes up your thyroid. If you get discomfort, it’s because your thyroid is inflamed even before taking iodine. Certain foods, a lack of magnesium, selenium, inflammatory foods (soy, wheat, milk), little sleep, excessive stress, etc. all contribute to that. Stop iodine and address those things first if you get that discomfort.

Excellent work you do Iodine etc Now you are copper deficient and IRON TOXIC COPPER SULPHATE is recommended Up to 6 milligrams with vitamin A Potassium chloride with Celtic Salt ATP MAGNESIUM
Many salts are very high in sodium and don’t contain enough other electrolytes to balance the fluid in the body. There is a Pink Potassium salt that is lpw sodium and high potassium which would be a healthier balance. Also, Some foods like potatoes, spinach, chard, collards, seeds, nuts and grains contain Oxalic acid (oxalate). Oxalates are notorious for disrupting disrupting electrolyte balance in the body. When a person is low on magnesium or calcium, the Oxalic acid turns to Oxalate crystals in the body and cause congestion. Salts are not only sodium but also potassium, magnesium, calcium, chloride are also salts.
Coffee and sugar causes vascular dehydration which leads to cramping and neuropathy. Salt helps bring and hold more fluid into the vascular system. Coffee is a diuretic which in-turn depleats salts in the body.
If coffee has caffeine, it is a diuretic which washes sodium out of the body. Also, carbohydrates (sugar) require salt to be processed by the body. Or on the 2nd part, I may be wrong. I know the first part is correct. I just know that when I've consumed a lot of sweet stuff in the past, I then have the need for something salty to make myself feel better.
@@lookthecity01 The less processed food the better. Refined salt is stripped of all minerals. Himalayan salt or Redmond's salt or Celtic sea salt is ok.
We are discussing REAL salt. Not the stuff they put in processed foods. Get off the ice cream and prepared foods and buy some Celtics sea salt or Redmonds salt. Then, make your own clean whole foods and add salt to them.
No. We have been lied to. 3 years ago I way increased my salt. Amazing. I tolerate summer heat no problem & I’m 59. Everyone I know with low stamina is low salt.
Why don't we compare your references to all the references in the 16 books Dr. Brownstein has written. Conventional medicine doesn't want integrative medicine to interfere with its profits. Yes, the ugh after mentioning Rory Collins defending the beneficial use of statins without releasing the data. Big red flag!
Start off your day with a teaspoon of water from a pint of fresh spring water with 5 tablespoons of Redmond salt which has sat on table for 5 days in advance. I put it in a 16 ounce stainless steel cup. Great hydration before you eat anything in morning
Why does the salt have to sit on the table for 5 days prior to use??
Good question @@tanyawieczorek6603
How does one stomach 5 tablespoons of salt?
@@caroloshea7830you don’t. You take a teaspoon from a one pint mixture containing five tablespoons of salt.
@@robertaaugustini4091 Do you also add salt to your food?
A teaspoon of salt (your recommendation) is directly in line with government RDIs. That is 5000mg. Approx 2000 mg of sodium and 3000 mg of chloride. One biologist stated “we evolved out of the sea, and we took the sea with us”.
We need to pay our respects to GOD

I'm certainly going to take it now😊
How are you doing now🤔have u started taking it
It all makes sense. When my husband gets dehydrated and gos to the doctor. They put him on bags of saline. He feels better and they send him home.
Exactly
i've been on a low-carb diet for 2 years. 95% home made meals. recently started having calf cramps. i think i might be low on salt.
Could be low sodium, magnesium, and or low potassium. A vitamin b3 deficiency can cause it also. Drinking an organic apple cider vinegar that has “the Mother” in water might help eliminate the calf cramp. Dr. Berg has a few videos about calf cramps.
@@Lots3say thanks. i'll try the ACV. going for blood tests next week. hopefully results will show if i'm low in electrolytes.
it's crazy how salt has been demonized. mentioned salt to a friend, he said, "Salt is terrible for you."
@@chuckleezodiac24just know your body is REALLY good at maintaining electrolyte balance. Unless you’re very sick, it won’t show up in your blood work. A hair tissue mineral analysis is closer to what’s going on with your electrolytes and bones.
Many people doing low carb/keto/carnivore and experiencing leg cramps have used the supplement/product LMNT to good results. It contains sodium, potassium and magnesium in a good ratio. Just sharing info so you can know options.
edit - it is a bit pricey, so if that would prevent you from trying it, their website shares the recipe and you can make your own with the ratios if you buy the single nutrients
@@w1975b thanks! i appreciate all the help. after watching this video, i started taking 1 tbsp of iodized sea salt with water every morning & at bedtime. the problem with my calf went away! hasn't bothered me in 2 or 3 weeks. hopefully it's gone for good.
How do cell salts/plasma salts fit into this equation?
Note Ron, Your sound level is so low that putting my volume to the top still left you sounding weak and David will sound too loud.

What about Baja gold salt?

I live on Oahu, Hawaii. I believe I’m hypothyroid but lab says within range like you said. Bad insomnia and depression problem.
Cannot find any help, do you have any iodine literate practitioners you know of on Oahu Hawaii? Please thank you! 24:06 24:11
Clean up your diet. I did and my depression is gone ❤ also I don't take medication anymore
Two book to read in order to clear up gut . Plant Paradox by Dr. Gundry. He helps to understand the damage done by Lectins in vegetables. The other book is Super Gut by Dr Davis. His book is more scholarly in that he provides extensive references. He provides info on how to improve the microbiology of the gut.
I cut out the vegetables that contained lectins and oxalates and have gone to a semicarnivore diet and feel much much better.
Depression begins in the gut. Hippocrates: all illness begins in the gut.
Hope this helps so you can enjoy beautiful Hawaii.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi from Adelaide, thank you 🙏🏻
My husband has high blood ptessure should he take salt.
Yes. Many on the carnivore diet have lots of red meat and salt and have perfect blood pressure
@@DebbieAT Thanks.
@@icecreamladydriver1606 Table salt isn't good though. Redmond's Real salt or Himalayan pink salt is good. Also too many carbs or too much sugar in the diet isn't good for blood pressure.
@@DebbieAT Thanks. We only use Himalayan pink salt.
I don’t have 1 dr. That even asks how much iodine i take and i have hypothyroidism and hypertension nor does my heart dr. Say anything about using unrefined salt, so what good are they, tell me??? They work for the man not the people. They don’t care about the patient just the money. All of this has to change. People need to wake up and question these people. Your health is in your own hands and how many of us know how to manage our own health, very few.
Is that 25-50 mg or mcg? milligrams or micrograms for the average patient? He said milligrams but want to be sure… lots of times even docs get these mixed up
@ juneelle370 - He recommends 25-50mg (more for those with infections/gland cancers)
@ it’s sold in micrograms so it’s confusing… I’m wondering if he’s saying it wrong (a mistake that happens!)
Could have been 10 minutes long.

Is sea salt ok
Celtic sea salt or redmonds real salt
So you said very few people have a salt sensitivity and it's rare. Well, I'm one of them and it freakin' sucks!!!
Excellent work you do
Iodine etc
Now you are copper deficient
and IRON TOXIC
COPPER SULPHATE
is recommended
Up to 6 milligrams with vitamin A
Potassium chloride with Celtic Salt
ATP MAGNESIUM
My wife seems to have joint pains with salt...
I wonder if she's detoxing fluoride. Many people have said when they reduce their fluoride exposure or detox it, they no longer have "arthritis".
Many salts are very high in sodium and don’t contain enough other electrolytes to balance the fluid in the body. There is a Pink Potassium salt that is
lpw sodium and high potassium which would be a healthier balance.
I brush my teeth with salt..

Is doctor Brownstein still alive?
Yes. Thankfully.
Why he shouldn't be? Guess because he destroying big pharma?? 😅
Anyone here ever tried Blue Salt for adrenal fatigue?
My restless leg syndrome was caused by coffee and caramel, not by a salt insufficiency.
Thank you 😊 for being honest! That's so helpful for the doctor to figure out what's really going on in your body!
but today food have alot of Salt...a yougurte, ice scream, pizza, cereals, bread, hamburger have salt, ...we cannot eat more
That's refined salt... you need to consume sea salt
Salt is not good for you..why you can't drink ocean water..every see a salted Cod? It is rock like
Babies grow in the womb in a saline water (salt). Our tears are salty.

In Australia, they are trying to bring reconciliation between indigenous people and the Europeans. Nothing wrong with that.
@@m.r.6222 No all it does is bring division.
Well he’s not spreading the exact truth. There is hundreds of good studies about salt and excess is always bad
No. We have been lied to. 3 years ago I way increased my salt. Amazing. I tolerate summer heat no problem & I’m 59. Everyone I know with low stamina is low salt.
Loads of BS!!!
Really and your the pro so tells us more ?
Why don't we compare your references to all the references in the 16 books Dr. Brownstein has written. Conventional medicine doesn't want integrative medicine to interfere with its profits. That has been an ongoing reality for a very long time.
I've been a dietitian since 1982 and progressed to becoming an integrative dietitian with a ton of physiological chemistry to back what I know, and I haven't heard either of these doctors say anything that doesn't match up to science.
@@miriamlandau1207 My references are from Dr Klaper, Dr N Barnard, Dr C Campbell, Dr Esseltyn, etc.... Not saying no salt is needed, just very small amount unless you are an athlete and sweat a lot. So much salt in ultra processed food is so detrimental. Refined salt is a killer, I only use unrefined sea salt sparsely. Greetings from France
