Dude, I love G.I. Joe. I was coerced by a friend to start collecting the figures in college and I absolutely loved it. I had a pretty large Cobra army. Love it! thanks for sharing.
YO JOE! First, that theme song live rent-free in my head and I find myself randomly humming it though I've legit not watched the toon in decades. I still have a few of my toys; they're loose of course and well-played with, but they've got that nostalgia to them. Hey, I forgot all about the talking Joes! When you said the backpack, then I remembered!! That's so cool.
@@DoYouNerd Man that's awesome! I wish I still had my joes and that helicopter. And I still can't believe I thought it was a good idea to play with that talking joe in the bath lol 🤦
dude this was so awesome i shared it in the retrocollective discord group im apart of i remember wanting the aircraft carrier so bad as a kid i didnt get to see the og cartoon til later on as re-runs being born in 86 but the figs were so cool seing as kid in toys r us
@@KiwilordGaming Thanks man! I appreciate that! And yes I would have loved to get that aircraft carrier but it was huge and very expensive even back then. I think it's called the U.S Flag. But getting to have the tomahawk helicopter was so great! I just wish I would've kept it all these years
Awesome that you were able to score Storm Shadow as one of your first figs! He was always tough to find even in the bigger cities, toy stores etc. GI Joe in its peak form (84-86) was one of the best 3.75 inch toy franchises ever and is actually a bit underrated IMO…
