Ok when I heard the, " what will you do when this is all over." I straight up cried, because they never got to figure it out together 😭😭😭😭
Ikr, I kept thinking about that "maybe we can figure it out together" because they never got to 😭 They had hardly any interactions in Season 2 and their dynamic was just completely different, I mean I get that it would be strained given thr ending in season 1 but it was like all of the development and time they spent together in Season 1 was just nonexistent, like it didn't even happen. I was at least hoping for a conversation about what went down between them- what that kiss meant- but nothing. No indication of Sylvie's feelings, clearly Loki loved her which is what drove his character development in addition to his care of his TVA friends, but there was no confirmation between them. In the first couple episodes where Mobius was talking to Brad and he was like "it's complicated when you're in a relationship with yourself" or something along those lines made me hopeful they would at least discuss their feelings but nothing?? Sylvie seemed like she cared for Loki as well in Season 1, but in Season 2 she did a whole backtrack and never really got proper character development. Loki Season 2 was still very entertaining and Loki coming full circle and fulfilling his "glorious purpose" was great for him, but in terms of Sylvie and their relationship, it just fell flat. Sylvie was such an instrumental part of the first season for various reasons but in the end her character just sorta came down to nothing.
@peach_tea0 Yeah I totally agree. I feel like Sylvie was not handled with as much care as she was in season 1, and I HATE that they didn't talk about and rekindle their relationship. It's such a shame since the series is over, at least for a long time😭.
@@peach_tea0it was written by a different guy the second season, and he just said they essentially "broke up" when she asked "why aren't we seeing this the same way?" And then kissed and pushed him away. I think he just personally wasn't that interested in their relationship, and it changed everything. He tried to salvage what they had by making it seem like Loki ultimately made the sacrifice for her, and his love for her... but he didn't have any good writing or a single tender farewell to back that up. Loki could control time -- so it just felt lazy.

As much as I love Loki&Sylvie, I think it was for both Mobius and Sylvie. He went back in time to see both of them before he decided to break the loom. They are equally important to him, as his first true friend and his first true love.
If Thor could witness this he would be truly proud

O my god, i thought the same thing!! I'm fell so bad because the season 2 is gorgeous, but relationships between Loki and Sylvie...There are practically none( And now i'm rewatching 1 season and i'm crying because of their cute moving with each other🥺
That's a very good point. I was disappointed when they didn't get a lot of scenes together or talk about their kiss. It was never mentioned at all. 😓

I'm somewhat angry at the writers for teasing us like that with these two... But, at some point, I know that without her his sacrifice could be meaningless... She was the one who triggered his heart and shattered his soul, and she was the final piece to decision he made at the very end. He could've kill her, and that was the simplest way to prevent all the disaster. But he chose not to, definitely because the love he felt for her was real... And if you guys noticed, she also wanted to sacrifice her life, she felt guilt for everything that happened (finally!) And her face at the very end when she understood 😢💔 He chose not to sacrifice anyone but himself, and also chose to free all the timelines, not to prune any of them. That was also her influence on him. Really selfless, that's how true love should be. Bittersweet but beautiful ending ❤💔

I don't think I'll ever ship anything in the Mcu again after what happened to these two in the second season. They were everything to me and now... I'm just heartbroken with what the writers did to their love. 💔

They didn't do anything to their love. They're ridiculously in love with each other. He who remains call Loki "loverboy" because he knows how much Loki loves Sylvie. They didn't make out because they didn't have time to figure things out before literally the end of all existence. And ultimately the burden Loki chose was to sacrifice himself so Sylvie and their friends could live. "For you" (looking at her)

In season 2, I was really hoping for Loki and Sylvie to get more scenes together and possibly end up together. I was disappointed that they weren't. Also their relationship in season 2 felt different. I really wish they would've been endgame. They would've been beautiful together. Loki's sacrifice at the end was so sad and so selfless. 😓💚

I think it's because they made Sylvie to be so cold to him. Season 1 was about Loki's feelings fot Sylvie. Season 2 should've been about Sylvie's feelings for him; not about how much she suddenly is mad with him. I was hoping she would show some remorse for betraying him and she acts like she doesn't even care. I hated how they portrayed her. It's as if she manipulated him to do what he did and doesn't even try to stop him. She would be redeemed even if she just screamed and cried when she realised she was going to lose him. I was hoping to see her screaming "Forget what I said! Don't do this!". This season should've bern about her learning to love Loki, just like he did in season 1.
I think S2 is okay as she's a Loki. Her mission to end Who He Remains was above all things, even her love to Loki, so S2 made sense to me.

Loki probably comes back and Sylki probably comes back too, as suggested by Kevin Wright because he said that :
"They both need a lot of personal work to get to a place where they could have a good relationship."
And he also said that Loki has to go somewhere to find Thor...
So probably we will see them again in the next MCU films.
It's good news. But even if Loki ends up coming back and getting a happy ending with Sylvie, as well as seeing Thor again (all I want in the end), well I'll still find season 2 to be poorly written.
Already the whole principle where Loki obtains all the powers this season is stupid, because season 1 emphasized the importance of his duo with Sylvie and that they were stronger together and not separately. The Sylki relation which was the heart of season 1 suddenly relegated to the background in season 2. Their romance which was explicit in season 1 became subtext in season 2. Sylvie who was the second main character of the series after Loki and the main female character of the series in short, relegated to the role of simple secondary character in season 2. Also, the multiverse existed before Kang sealed his time stream, so why suddenly someone would have to hold everything together ? Brief. Good if Loki comes back and gets what I want him to get. But that will never take away the fact that for me, season 2 is poorly written in my eyes.

I've noticed they have very similar eyes... They are sometimes grey, sometimes green-ish and sometimes blue 😊I'm NOT really into romantic stuff, but this one got me. I hope Loki and Sylvie meet again! 💚

Yeah, I was thinking about that too ... The ending of LOTR gives me very similar bittersweet melancholy vibes 💔doubled by closing credits song "Into the West" 😭 It also reminds me of an anime series which I love (Madoka Magica). Anyway, I hope we will see Loki again!

It breaks my heart because there are a lot of "Lokis" irl... hear me out.
Loki didn't feel loved, even if he was.
His concept of "love" was something that hurt, at best, or something that was not real, at worst.
I don't think his deside for a throne had to do with the mere power, but more with the fact that a throne comes with a reign, so - by extention - with people that will love and respect him. He presented himself as a savior ("Your savior is here" or something like that, was it?), practically begging - in his own way - to be loved. All the manipulations and the lies are a shield against the betrayals that he knows will always await someone who in his own words "can't be trusted".
He was loved but couldn't feel it and therefore rejected it; he grows up and finds himself loving, and experiencing several kinds of love (platonic, romantic, fraternal); he understands that, now that he knows love, he does not want to be alone.
And then proceeds to embrace his worst fear so that he can protect the ones he loves.
He goes from wannabe savior - meant to be followed and to be with the ones he saved - to actual protector - meant to be alone in his fight to keep his loved ones safe.
