      For sho...saw SD , four or five times..the first being the first show after their long hiatus, in Detroit...and when Walter would sing one of his songs....people would get up and leave to go to the restrooms, concessions, or talk...
      Was like...WTH?? if going on??? Unbelievable

      Ty for that info. 👍 SD always seem to have top flight musicians. They sound so incredibly vibrant, soulful. And those gals on background vocals and harmonies are amazing. They're very easy on the eyes, too. Also, something of a SD trademark. Well done!

    If I were a musician who was lucky enough to play with Steely Dan, whether on one of their records or one of their tours, I don't think I would take it personally if they didn't use me later, because they change members all the time. I would feel like a member of a very exclusive club of musicians, who would be a permanent part of musical history, although I might feel sad if I couldn't continue to play with them, because it looks like a blast and I would miss the fun.

      There's on thing with studio musicians and session players on has to know:
      Most of them are fully booked over long stretches of time into recording sessions and frequently replace for example other musicians that suddenly got sick or have family issues elswhere, so they have to show up at home to mind their own business.
      So it's not a matter of "being replaced" but rather a sort of "rotational" thing.
      When Becker&Fagan wanted to have you on stage, well thats the highest medal you could ever strive for.....wear it happylie. ❤❤❤

    • @J3unG
      @J3unG 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Naw, man. The drummer in the vid is the late, great RICKY LAWSON. keith carlock doesn't rate on the same level as Lawson. Do some research, son.

    • @canturgan
      @canturgan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@J3unG Nonsense. Carlock is a great player that fits like a glove. Lawson was great too, as was Peter Erskine and Bernard Purdie, but Carlock is more versatile IMHO.
