Great video coach just what I was looking for, I’m new to baseball so my son wants more practice so when I take him to the park and I’m struggling to hit he plays outfield and hitting those balls are a struggle for me I know this will help me out though thank you. 👍
Looks great! It’s clear to me he never had right shoulder replacement surgery with a possibility for a left shoulder replacement in a few years....ugh.
Thanks for the video, Coach. It seems so simple until you're in front of 15 kids waiting for their turn so I appreciate the break down. Do you still swing and miss sometimes even with your experience?
I dont swing and miss really, but I definitely can hit a bunch of bad ones in a row and start putting pressure on myself. its not always easy, so just laugh at yourself and have fun with it!
Hi Coach, thanks for your video. I was wondering what length, weight, and diameter would you recommend for the little league bat that would used as a fungo bat? Wooden fungo bats are usually long like 35-37" but you mentioned using shorter than full size little league bat. So would you recommend using a 31", -10, 2 3/4 or even shorter?
You know, I was just grabbing little league bats that were 2 1/4 barrel, probably around 30 inches, and they worked really well. As long as they're light, longer is better. I dont think you need to overthink it, but I'd say stick with 2 1/4 barrel because it tends to let you get underneath a little easier. Find a cheap used one on Ebay or Mercari for $25 and you'll be good to go.

Great video! After years of coaching soccer, I putting my ball cap and coaching my 14yrs team!
Good stuff
Fungo is ultimate art. My kids and fellow coaches make all the funs. They carry rackets, tee-ball bats, hit off a tee, you name it. I carry a fungo😊
Excellent video! Especially the slow motion segments. Really helpful! Thank you, Dan.
Glad it was helpful!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, Coach!
Great video Dan!
Great video with great advice. I appreciate it. I did chuckle at 3:20 at the "quick slow motion" :D.
Glad it was helpful!

excellent demonstration
Thanks so much! Hope it helps!
Our catcher gets a ton of practice when I’m hitting fungos… mostly because I miss 1/10 swings. 🤣
Thank you Sir.
You are most welcome
Very useful 👍

@@DanBlewett Thanks a lot Coach! Appreciate your advice.
we really have to improve on the current state of baseball pants. what the hell.
Feel better.
@@DanBlewett they feel like playing in your jammies lol
No I meant I hope you feel better. You sound angry inside.
@@DanBlewett lol sorry, i didn't mean to hurt your feelings. it was just an observation about baggy trousers.

Nice video but you are holding the fungo incorrectly. Righties should toss the ball with the right hand and hold the fungo with the left hand.
there is no right way. Just a preference.
